The Barn Collective

Both of these buildings are on the same property on Whidbey Island in Washington State. The Large barn is now an antique store.

I’m linking up with Rose Street Reflections and Barn Collective #18. Thank you Amy!

We had a drippy but productive weekend at this old house. I’ll post some photos from the weekend tomorrow.

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Christmas Past

Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. I’m still in San Francisco and will be flying back to the LA area tomorrow morning. I had to post this now because I’m headed out for my last day of sight seeing in Cloudy San Francisco. The computer has to get locked up in the safe :0) I hope to get around to all the lovely tablescapes tomorrow evening. To everyone who stops by here I hope your week is filled with simple joys…

This tablescape is from a Young Ladies Bible Study Christmas Dinner I hosted a few years ago. This was before blogging and my photos are not real clear and detailed but I think you’ll get the feel.

The next two collages are from last year and they are photos of our fun everyday Christmas table.

The Bear Placemats are from our almost 23 year old daughter’s first birthday. She was born on December 27th.

These are our little vintage place card holders that we inherited from Dear’s mother Verna. We have 3 boxes of them and she never used them. I’ve changed up our everyday table this year and I’ll be showing that scape soon.

For more tablescapes visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Thank you Susan for hosting this fun blog carnival!

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007 to 2015 hostage and has replaced them all with ugly black and grey boxes asking for a ransom to have them re-published. Such a frustrating bother.

Pink Saturday ~ Pink & Black Tablescape

This is a little preview of my Pink and Black Tablescape that I put together while home in Washington State. I’m travelling from Washington to San Francisco today to meet up with my husband who is attending a conference there. Today happens to be our 34th Wedding Anniversary and we will be celebrating later at a restaurant in San Francisco. On Tuesday we will both fly back to our Southern California home. I hope to get around later this weekend to see all your pretty pink. Have a wonderful Pink Saturday everyone!

Visit our wonderful hostess for Pink Saturday, Beverly at How Sweet the Sound to see more PINK!

Ruby Tuesday ~ Thanksgiving Postcards

These postcards are all from the early 1900’s. They were all sent to Dear’s Great, great Aunt Emma. She really enjoyed getting postcards and her friends and family made sure to send her one on any special occassion.

For more Ruby Tuesday Posts visit Mary at The Work of the Poet.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and demanding a ransom for me to access them. I’m slowly cleaning up many of my posts where PB have added ugly black and grey boxes where my photos used to be. So frustrating!

Vintage Thingies Thursdays

These are more of our Vintage goodies from my Mil Verna. My husband and his brother both wanted the cowboy bookends so we split them up. We have 8 matching glasses to go with the pitcher. I should have filled them with something for the photo :0)

For more Vintage Thingies visit Confessions of an Apron Queen.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site. All my photos that I stored and uploaded from that site are now big ugly black and grey boxes with a message to pay big bucks to get them restored to my blog. It will take me a long time to restore thousands of posts.

Vintage Thingies Thursdays

I was going to skip Vintage Thingies this week but when someone who was affected by Hurricane Ike and has damage all over her property is willing to keep playing who am I to take the week off? Hats off to Apron Queen for persevering and trying to keep things normal around her castle.

So here is a collage of some of my vintage thingies that live in my home in Washington State. I’ve probably said it before but I’m living in Southern California right now and I don’t have too many of my vintage items with me here.

Pink Saturday ~ Shopping and Walking

Today for Pink Saturday I’m sharing some photos from my walks in Camarillo, California and a great Home Decor Store that is housed in a old Farmhouse in Bothell, Washington. Have a great September Saturday everyone.

This is an interesting Bougainvillea that has been trained into a bush. We usually see these more spread out growing on fences and sides of homes or patios.

A Porch in Old Town Camarillo.

This was the Pink Room in the Cranberry Cottage on Bothell-Everett Highway in Bothell. Across the street from Country Village. They sell a combination of antique, collectibles, and new goodies.

For more Pink visit Beverly at How Sweet the Sound.

Vintage Thingees Thursday ~ The 2nd

It’s time again for Vintage Thingies Thursdays at Confessions of An Apron Queen!

I’m not sure if these vintage pot holders/hot pads are from Dear’s mother Verna or Dear’s Great, Great Aunt Emma. Either way they qualify for vintage…

Pink Saturday #5!

Welcome to Pink Saturday hosted by Beverly at How Sweet the Sound

On a little thrifting excursion I had this week I found these pretties for Tea! Both Cups are made in England.

These depression glass Salt and Pepper shakers are from some items that came down to me from Dear’s Great, great, Aunt Emma.

I spotted this last Pretty Pink Umbrella at a Boutique in Pioneer Square in Downtown Seattle.

Look at all the pretty details.

Happy Pink Saturday everyone. I hope to hop around to all your blogs soon…

Ruby Tuesday ~ Country Village

I took a little trip to Country Village in Bothell, Washington last week. There was an abundance of red to photograph here! Here’s what their website says about the village.

Shop, dine and feed
the chickens …

Over 40 shops and restaurants clustered among beautifully landscaped gardens, ponds, wandering paths, picnic and play areas.

Everything from fabulous home decor and original art, to antiques and innovative toys!

You can even find anything you need for Belly Dancing at the Ottoman Trading Co.

My favorite find on my visit was not red at all but predominately blue. Madame Fifi’s Tea Room and Bakery. I had a lovely lunch topped off with some delicious scones.

For more Ruby Tuesday head over to Maryt’s at Work of the Poet.
