Scarf ~ My favorite scarves are my soccer scarves. This is me and my son Josh enjoying a U.S.A. National Team game at Century Link field in Seattle. Sunday night we’ll be wearing our Rave Green Sounders Soccer team scarves and hope that we can pull ahead of L.A. Galaxy to advance to the M.L.S. finals.

Soccer scarf in Milan, Italy
Old Trafford in Manchester, England. Manchester United vs. Sounders FC friendly scarf!

Our favorite scarves…The Seattle Sounders Season Ticket holders scarves!
Thank you to Kati for her Photo*A*Day Challenge for November.
We have put away Fall decor and we have brought down all our Christmas boxes from the attic. I started full speed ahead on decorating and then I walked into a chair full speed ahead and I think one of my toes is now broken. Oye and bother! Hopefully I’ll be able to walk about better tomorrow. We have a promise of a dry day and we need to go and buy our mystery tree. Have you started your Christmas decorating?
I had to resort to two photos to get a photo with all our family in it. It’s hard to get all of us together these days with work schedules and proximity to each other in the state of Washington. The first photo of family was taken in Western Washington and the next photo of family was taken in Eastern Washington.

This challenge post is out of order since I started with day 19 and moved backwards and forwards and all about the town for days 17 thru day 23.
November Photo*A*Day challenge from Kati.
Days 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22. Hot Drink (17) Hands/Feet (18), Wood (20), Candlelight (21), Orange (22).
Our house is quiet again as our First Thanksgiving Celebration has come and gone. I will post the photos of our celebration soon. We had a great full day of food and fun. This morning Dan and Jamie headed out early to face the treacherous road conditions over Snoqualmie Pass on to Eastern Washington. I woke up this morning came down the stairs to see that Dear had washed all the dishes that didn’t fit in the dishwasher. He also emptied the clean dishes from the dishwasher. What a sweet treat that was to me.
Hope you are finishing your weekend well.
I’m joining Kati’s November Photo-A-Day Challenge with days 10 through 16.
Day 10 ~ Yellow

This is one of the tiles that are part of our back splash behind our stove top.
Day 11 ~ Outside my Window

Ha! First, I had to use some glass cleaner on my window before I snapped away.
Day 12 ~ Small

Day 13 ~ Large

The contrast between the large and the small…

Day 14 ~ Swirl

Day 15 ~ Animal

It’s November so I’m sharing the wild turkeys we saw in Eastern Washington while visiting our son. This part of Eastern Washington is known as the Turkey Capitol of Washington State!
Day 16 ~ Red

For red I’m going back to Windsor England with the Guard in their dress uniforms.
It’s late on Friday and it’s been a busy day for me. After my exercise class I powered up the lawn mower and mowed the lawn which consisted mostly of vacuuming up the fallen leaves from the Maple, Pear and Apple Tree. I’m wondering if this will be the last mow of the season or if there will be one more. I’m sitting with my feet up now and am happy that we have a quiet weekend ahead. We are still in a dry, very cold weather system with plenty of frost in the mornings. I’ve been amazed at all the winter snow photos from many of you. Our son had snow in Eastern Washington.
Love this photo of my pop, sister Lana, and niece Melissa from their Thursday night dinner together.
This is a special number for Dear and I this year. We were married in 1974 so on December 6th we celebrate 40 years of marriage. I thought it was fun that the Seattle Sounders are celebrating their 40th anniversary, too. We celebrated already this year with a trip to England but that won’t stop us from celebrating on the actual day, too.
We had a very blustery, stormy day on Thursday of this week and I tried to catch a leaf falling. I’m glad this one was facing my camera for a second!
This photo was taken at the church that was used in Downton Abbey for the weddings. The little town where some of the filming is done is called Bampton and we had a fun quick visit there reliving some of the scenes.

My name starts with E and when I saw my name in lights I couldn’t resist taking a few photographs. This is an old theater in downtown Bozeman, Montana. My daughter Katie and I were headed east from Washington across the country in May when she spotted this theater.I’ll be headed to Portland, Oregon for a wedding early on Saturday morning so I’ve decided to finish up all of the remaining photos from Kati’s June Photo-A-Day challenge and post them today.
You can click over to Kati’s Little Corner of the World and see more photos for the challenge.
It’s always a joy to see this pair of boots in the house when we wake up because we know our son Daniel has made it safely across the mountains to visit us.
I think a lot of people could describe these young men as “hot”. My favorite branch of our military. I have just a little bias since our son-in-law is a Marine. They always look so sharp in their uniforms!
From my nephew and new niece’s wedding on a Blueberry Farm last summer.
Our thermometer showing a very hot day for us here in the Pacific Northwest
Our blueberry bush last summer. They are at the very green small stage so far this year.
April Tulips in the Skagit Valley of Washington State
Our son Josh with the green grass of the Cotswolds behind him from September of last year.
I’ll be coming around to visit your photos later on Sunday or early in the week.

I don’t have a favorite color as much as favorite color combinations. I’ve always loved pink and green. I also really love muted shades of purple with green.
I’m also a sucker for blue and white, especially blue and white dishes.
The rustic walls in our son’s shop and one of my favorite paintings in our home…
A friend of Dear’s painted this and gifted it to him before Dear and I were married.
I can’t believe I’m posting this close up of my wrinkles sunglasses on my face.
I had a hard time finding dots around the house. I did find some dots in my bathroom.
And one more dot photo…
That was fun. Thank you Kati for hosting this photo challenge.
