Since I’m having a hard time posting one photo-a-day I’ve decided to post days 2 through 8 of Kati’s photo challenge in one post. On November 1st I did post the first challenge prompt, my name starts with here.
November 2nd ~ Number
This is a special number for Dear and I this year. We were married in 1974 so on December 6th we celebrate 40 years of marriage. I thought it was fun that the Seattle Sounders are celebrating their 40th anniversary, too. We celebrated already this year with a trip to England but that won’t stop us from celebrating on the actual day, too.
November 3rd ~ Leaf
We had a very blustery, stormy day on Thursday of this week and I tried to catch a leaf falling. I’m glad this one was facing my camera for a second!
November 4th ~ Brown
This photo was taken at the church that was used in Downton Abbey for the weddings. The little town where some of the filming is done is called Bampton and we had a fun quick visit there reliving some of the scenes.
November 5th ~ Cozy
November 6th ~ Pumpkin
November 7th ~ Friend
November 8th ~ Table
We woke up to beautiful sunshine today. We had such a blustery day yesterday with a mix of brightness and darkness throughout the day. I managed to to fill a yard waste bin full of leaves in between rain showers. The wind gusts are of course made more leaves fall. Hopefully the dryness will last so we can mow the lawn for the last time till Spring. Looking forward to a weekend at home after being away last weekend.
Have a great weekend y’all!

Very cool photo a day. Those prompts domake us think outside the box some!
Your falling leaf picture is great! My mom and I tried to capture falling leaves yesterday but we weren’t successful.
Your fall table looks so pretty and elegant!
Those challenges seem so hard to me — but what a wonderful job you are doing in finding the perfect pictures. Love the tea party collage. I never get good people pictures. Ever. So I must admit to being just a bit envious of your talent.
Good for you on that falling leaf! That’s tricky. Your friend picture made me smile. And I love the one of Katie in the pumpkins – I have a similar picture on my blog today 🙂
Great photo a day pics. I was hoping to join in this time round, but am not going to be able to. You have a great group of tea-sipping friends!
Beautiful table scape and fun to remember the teahouse lunch with you! Thank you!
As Kati told you, both of us tried over and over to capture a falling leaf…to no avail. Mine were either out of focus, or so low to the ground that they did not appear to be “falling.” I applaud your success!
You have chosen some great photos to meet the challenge!
Love the photos you chose for the challenge. Your leaf picture is fantastic. And I love the table; It makes me want to sit right down and visit with you.
I enjoyed these photos! I’m curious to know where BROWN was taken. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding anniversary. I think that milestone anniversaries deserve a celebratory trip to England. I’m working on an itinerary myself. 🙂 Enjoy your weekend.
Cranberry Morning, I took this photo in the village of Bampton where some of Downton Abbey is filmed. This was a door at the church where the girls weddings were.
Thanks for sharing all these photos. The one with Katie amidst the pumpkin mines is amazing. 🙂
1974 was a wonderful year to be married in! 😉 Can you believe 40 wonderful years have passed? I would not trade my 40 years of marriage for anything!
The photo a day and prompts were well met by all your efforts, Ellen. I like that falling leaf, Katie among the pumpkins and seeing familiar faces holding up their tea cups!
What great pics you caught to represent the words. I really wanted to join this challenge but the days just got away from me as November is one of my busiest times with church commitments.
