Tablescape Thursday ~ Yellow & Blue

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. The table I’m showing you today is set up in the living room of my home in Washington State.

I’m using an off white cloth with a smaller round blue and yellow cloth as a topper. I have always enjoyed blue and yellow together.

I used my Chippendale dishes on top of my Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes. Yellow napkins with white rose china napkin rings.

I ended up using several of my pewter pieces for the centerpiece instead of the vase with the hydrangeas…

Tablescape Thursday ~ Pink & Black

It’s time for Tablescape Thursday which used to be Tablescape Tuesday. Visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to join in or to see lots of different tablescapes from around bloggy world.

This is a table setting in my living room in the State of Washington. When I was there over Christmas I pulled in one of our folding round tables from the garage to set this scape. I really love to be able to set a round table. It really is a lot better for conversation and eye contact with everyone it seems.

I combined my Royal Albert Moss Rose dinner service with some new and old pink depression glass.

I bought this great black and white polka dot round table cloth years ago at Wight’s Nursery after Christmas Sale. If you live in the Seattle area you might be familiar with Wight’s in Lynwood/Edmonds. They always have wonderful decor available along with their plants and gardening departments.

I made the chair covers with some black fabric I bought. The covers only go over the backs of the chairs not the seats. I used pink tulle and ribbon to make a bow around the chair top. Some of my camellias were blooming in December so I floated them in this Depression Glass bowl from Dear’s great, great, Aunt Emma. The pink rose napkin rings are from Target Shabby Chic Collection.

Tablescape Thursday ~ Red-White-Black

Tablescape Tuesday is now Tablescape Thursday! To see some pretty Tablescapes visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.

My table today was set in honor of my brother Tim’s birthday in January. This would make a fun Valentine Day Table, too.

Some of the details…the Pineapple candleholders are silverplate, Godinger. I bought them at my little thrift store. Napkins are Martha Stewart K-Mart from her Christmas line. I think they don’t scream Christmas. The napkin rings are from Pier 1, a gift from my son and wife. The rose etched goblets are from Goodwill. The red, white and black salad/dessert plate is from T.J. Maxx and oh my I paid T.J. Maxx full price for them $3.99. What a splurge on my part :0). The red chair scarves are from Target after Christmas clearance.

Am I boring you yet? The dinner plate is from Pier 1 clearanced for $1.64. The white chargers with black beaded rim are from T.J. Maxx and were clearanced for $1.00 each.

I’m happy to say that we actually ate food at this tablescape and had a very nice time celebrating my brother’s birthday. Here is our salad course. We also had Steak, Creamed Mushrooms, Roasted fingerling potatoes and a Limoncello Cream cake for dessert. UPDATE: So I didn’t include my true confession this week. Here it is…I did not make the Limoncello cake I bought it at costco. It was from the Cheesecake Factory. Here’s a link to a great recipe that should be pretty much like it. My younger brother Tim and his wife Letty.

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Black and Gold

Welcome to another round of Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Today I’m sharing the table I set for an early birthday dinner for our two sons. Both of their birthdays are in January and Dear and I will not be in Washington on their birthdays so we decided to celebrate with them while we were still in Washington last Friday night.

I bought these great black and gold dishes at Target Christmas clearance. I got 8 dinner plates and 8 salad plates for under $30. I thought they had a more masculine feel than some of my other dishes for the guys!

The heavy black iron candle holder for the centerpiece with the Fleur de lis design was a find at Goodwill a while back. Again, I liked the heavier bulkier look for the guys.

Christmas clearance at Target was great. I went on the day everything was 75% off. The Fleur de lis napkin rings were under $5 for 8 of them. The little gold cocktail napkins were $1.24 for a 4 pack. The two pack of goblets that I decided to turn into candle holders were clearance also but I forget how much. The shimmery gold tablecloth was originally from the Pottery Barn that I bought at Goodwill. Now the really great thing about this tablescape is that we actually sat down and ate dinner at it. It was a great time of celebrating Josh and Dan’s lives and thanking God for them and how they’ve enriched all of our lives!

Josh is married to Laura and all four of these young adults graduated from Inglemoor Highschool in the Northshore School District of Washington in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.  They chuckled at the fact that Black and Gold were their High School colors! Go Vikings! My sister Lana G! was able to join us for our dinner celebration, too. Fun times….

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Condo Christmas Table

Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.

This is the Christmas Tablescape I came up with for the eating area at the Condo.

The Chargers are from T.J. Max on clearance for a dollar each. The dinner plates are from Marshall’s, the salad plates are from a thrift store originally from Mervyn’s, and the crystal dessert cups are from Goodwill. Believe it or not the full set of silverplate for 8 with the letter B engraved on them are from Goodwill in Washington that I found a couple years ago. The full set cost me $29.00.

The tablecloth, runner, and napkins, goblets, reindeer, and brass candlesticks are all from the thrift store.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Seattle Christmas

Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. Today I’m sharing a Christmas Table from my home in the Seattle Area of Washington State.

The Santa Hat Chair covers are from Target clearance a couple years ago.

I just bought the green goblets over Thanksgiving at Goodwill in Lynwood, Washington. I paid full price for them $1.99 each and there were 11 of them.

The red chargers are from Sears. They were 50% off so I got a package of 4 for $9.99.

The square green salad plates were from Sears, too, on sale but I forget how much.

The 3 tiered sever is from Target clearance from a couple years ago.

The crystal side dishes are from Goodwill in Bellevue

I forget where I bought the poinsettia napkin rings but I bought them last year at a Christmas Clearance sale. I love this tablecloth that I bought years ago from Molbaks at their after Christmas sale…

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Christmas Past

Welcome to Tablescape Tuesday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. I’m still in San Francisco and will be flying back to the LA area tomorrow morning. I had to post this now because I’m headed out for my last day of sight seeing in Cloudy San Francisco. The computer has to get locked up in the safe :0) I hope to get around to all the lovely tablescapes tomorrow evening. To everyone who stops by here I hope your week is filled with simple joys…

This tablescape is from a Young Ladies Bible Study Christmas Dinner I hosted a few years ago. This was before blogging and my photos are not real clear and detailed but I think you’ll get the feel.

The next two collages are from last year and they are photos of our fun everyday Christmas table.

The Bear Placemats are from our almost 23 year old daughter’s first birthday. She was born on December 27th.

These are our little vintage place card holders that we inherited from Dear’s mother Verna. We have 3 boxes of them and she never used them. I’ve changed up our everyday table this year and I’ll be showing that scape soon.

Pink Saturday ~ Pink & Black Tablescape

This is a little preview of my Pink and Black Tablescape that I put together while home in Washington State. I’m travelling from Washington to San Francisco today to meet up with my husband who is attending a conference there. Today happens to be our 34th Wedding Anniversary and we will be celebrating later at a restaurant in San Francisco. On Tuesday we will both fly back to our Southern California home. I hope to get around later this weekend to see all your pretty pink. Have a wonderful Pink Saturday everyone!

Blue Monday and Tablescape Tuesday!

This is a busy week for many of us here in the U.S.A. with Thanksgiving on Thursday. I’m going to combine my Blue Monday Post with my Tablescape Tuesday Post because my tablescape is predominately blue. I’m flying up North to Seattle on Tuesday and I’m busy getting all my ducks in a row…

I set this table for two putting together anything blue and gold that I had at our condo in Southern California.

I just picked up the Santa and the Gold large floral ornaments at my favorite little thrift store in town. The Snowflake napkins and Tablecloth are Big K Martha Stewart that were clearanced after Christmas last year. I also purchased the snowflake napkin rings at the Christmas clearance.

The Blue holly dishes are Target Christmas clearance from a couple years ago. The blue beaded sprays are also from Target clearance. The glasses, which I love the shape of, are from my favorite little thrift store. I was sorry they only had two, but most days it’s just the two of us here in the condo anyway.

So if you’d like to see more Blue Monday click over to Sally’s on Monday and if you’d like to see more Tablescapes click over to Susan’s on Tuesday!

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Pewter

Time for another Tablescape Tuesday. You can visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see more.

My camera angles and lighting made my tablecloth look like two different ones. The color is more true to the first collage. This table was inspired by the Rooster I got at Target clearance last week for $4.95. The twig pumpkin was clearanced for $1.95. I bought the napkins that are originally from Pier 1 at a thrift store this last week for $1.25 for 4 of them. The Pewter flatware and bowls are from Goodwill. The pear napkin rings are from Goodwill and the basket weave chargers are from Goodwill, too. The plates were from Marshalls. It’s a lot of fun to put a table together with thrift store treasures that I’ve accumulated over time…
