Tablescape Thursday ~ Yellow & Blue

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch. The table I’m showing you today is set up in the living room of my home in Washington State.

I’m using an off white cloth with a smaller round blue and yellow cloth as a topper. I have always enjoyed blue and yellow together.

I used my Chippendale dishes on top of my Mikasa Italian Countryside dishes. Yellow napkins with white rose china napkin rings.

I ended up using several of my pewter pieces for the centerpiece instead of the vase with the hydrangeas…

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

  1. I love yellow and blue too, and your dishes are beautiful! I went to Goodwill today in search of treasures, like you always find. Found nothing. Nothing!

But I did run across a blog that I think you’d love, Ellen. It’s full of gorgeous dishes, tablescapes, thrift treasures, (I don’t know how y’all do it!) and wonderful photos. Take a look: dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com

Rosemary! Thanks, it’s so good to see your name here :0)

  2. Your blue and yellow tablescape is absolutely beautiful, and I love pewter as an accent, its very eye catching. The birds are such a cute, springtime touch, and I really love the rose napin rings. Of course, it goes without saying that your combination of china patterns is wonderful too! 🙂

I love the blue and yellow you are using today! Two of my favorite colors. Everything looks to fresh and springy. I guess everyone is getting spring fever! I know I do. Thanks for stopping by my table today. Your comments were so thoughtful. Have a blessed day.

  9. Hi, Ellen
I love your tablescape. The blue & yellow look so springy, and I love the pewter. I’ve always had an affinity for antique pewter pieces, and your are lovely.
    Have a great week.
