This is a busy week for many of us here in the U.S.A. with Thanksgiving on Thursday. I’m going to combine my Blue Monday Post with my Tablescape Tuesday Post because my tablescape is predominately blue. I’m flying up North to Seattle on Tuesday and I’m busy getting all my ducks in a row…
I set this table for two putting together anything blue and gold that I had at our condo in Southern California.
I just picked up the Santa and the Gold large floral ornaments at my favorite little thrift store in town. The Snowflake napkins and Tablecloth are Big K Martha Stewart that were clearanced after Christmas last year. I also purchased the snowflake napkin rings at the Christmas clearance.
The Blue holly dishes are Target Christmas clearance from a couple years ago. The blue beaded sprays are also from Target clearance. The glasses, which I love the shape of, are from my favorite little thrift store. I was sorry they only had two, but most days it’s just the two of us here in the condo anyway.
So if you’d like to see more Blue Monday click over to Sally’s on Monday and if you’d like to see more Tablescapes click over to Susan’s on Tuesday!
Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and demanding a ransom for me to access them. I’m slowly cleaning up many of my posts where PB have added ugly black and grey boxes where my photos used to be. So frustrating!
OMGosh Ellen! This table looks fantastic! You really did such a wonderful job pulling it all together.
Happy Thanksgiving!
This is just beautiful. I love those dishes, I don’t remember them in the store. Everything looks lovely. Nice job.
I love the blue and gold! I’ve had this thing for blue and grey (or silver) lately, but blue looks awesome with gold as well. Have fun in Seattle!
What a beautiful table setting with so many bargains! I have pink glasses like your little golden one, they are so thin and delicate I am scared to use them! I love blue, too, of course, and things with snowflakes make me swoon. Have a great Thanksgiving!
I LOVE your table settings! Blue is one of my favorite colors and I love the shades you are using (they’d be perfect for my little cottage!!)… Have a happy Blue Monday!… Donna
wow..ellen.your photos and tables are something wonderful! The flower below, the hymn, the Emma State Wood photos were magnificent. Have a wonderful week, and Thanksgiving with family.

The blue and gold combination for a table setting is so beautiful! Almost too pretty to cover with food!
Ellen, this is stunning. I love the blue and gold together. Your thrift store finds are perfect and look elegant as well as festive on your tablescape. We can do wonders buying on clearance. I love clearance.

oh, wow…this all looks so pricy and i see you did it all on a budget…SUPER JOB !!
Ellen, that table looks so festive. That shade of blue looks great with the gold!
I set my table for Thanksgiving (Jeanie and Jim are coming) and noticed that the “silver” rims on my wedding china, Noritaki from 1970, is tarnished. Hmmmm. I’m not about to polish the rims on everything. Besides, I think it means that the protective coating has worn off. I wonder if it is poisonous?
Oh well……….
Oh, Ellen…this has to be the best yet! This table is pure MAGIC! It is sooo beautiful and so very festive! I would to be at your table! :o) Have a very happy holiday week, my friend…Wishing you & yours a wonderful Thanksgiving ((HUGS))
Oh, my, how gorgeous. You are inspiring me to shop Christmas clearance sales this year!!
Blue and Gold…such an elegant combination. Swedish colors!
Ellen, this is absolutely gorgeous! The blue and gold look wonderfully together.
Have a nice and safe trip tomorrow — I know you will have LOADS of fun seeing your friends and family for Thanksgiving.

It’s a beautiful table Ellen, oh .. .all the best for your flight tomorrow and your prep for Thanksgiving. You must be so excited to see the kids again.
What a stunning tablescape! Now that it just hubby and me most nights for dinner, I am having more luck at thrift stores and clearance aisles. A pretty table makes even a PB&J taste better.
Ellen, your table settings are always STUNNING…… so beautiful that they could be in any decorating magazine. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!!
Just beautiful! Love the blue!
Safe travels to you and happy homecoming! Enjoy your Thanksgiving!!!!

Hi Ellen B.,
Love all the blues…you could have a blue “tea for two” with that setting.
I hope all your ducks line up and stay that way.
Pure elegance! What a fabulous scape! Happy Blue Monday!
Hi Ellen,
This is one of the prettiest tablescapes I’ve seen. I love those blue holly dishes!
Have a great day,
Diane
Ellen – that is a beautiful table setting – I love the dishes! Good for you getting things on sale last year – i get so tired of the stores I just don’t want to set foot in them after Christmas.
What are you planning to serve on these beautiful plates? I think I need to find a different house to eat Thanksgiving dinner. My sister might be poisoning us (Kathy B comment).
I think you have more cool stuff in your “little condo” than I have in my whole house! Really beautiful setting!
Beeeeeuuuutiful! (I spelled the way I am sayin’ it!!) You are one smart shopper!
The table is peaceful looking 🙂 I love blues. All shades!
Have a blessed and joy filled Thanksgiving!

Those are the most unusual napkin rings I think I’ve ever seen. They are so pretty. The blues and gold are such good complements to each other. Love the soft tones of both.
Your Santa is absolutely gorgeous. Adds a wondertful look to the table. Those glasses have a lovely design. Maybe one day you will find more like them.
