InSPIREd Sunday

crystal-cove-090Community Church Congregational United Church of Christ in Corona Del Mar, California. That’s quite a mouthful for a name. Lots of C’s for sure.

crystal-cove-089On January 21st while I was in California my sister and I spent the morning at Crystal Cove and on our way home I spotted this church on a side street off of PCH (Pacific Coast Hwy) and my sister humored me and turned down the street so I could take some photos.

We took full advantage of the sunny days in between the rain storms that Southern California experienced while I was there.

Linking up to InSPIREd Sunday with Beth and Sally. It’s been a few months since I’ve linked up.

We are still planning what we will be doing for Super Bowl Sunday and if anyone will be joining us. Maybe some New England Clam Chowder and a Georgia Peach Cobbler if I go with a game theme to represent each team. It will definitely be a fly by the seat of our pants kind of day! What are you planning?

Birthday Brunch ~ Five Crowns

On Sunday we drove to Corona Del Mar to have brunch for Dear’s upcoming birthday. The food was so good and so rich it took us a day and a half to recuperate from our creamy adventure. Thankfully I’m heading out this morning for a good uphill/downhill walk with Willow to further my recuperation…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

Sherman Library & Gardens

Last Tuesday on my drive to Laguna Beach I spotted this sign and decided to stop and check it out. I peeked in and liked what I saw and then noticed that they also had a Cafe. It cost me $3.00 to come onto the grounds and get to Cafe Jardin.

I had a nice lunch in a great peaceful setting with a lovely view. After lunch my camera and I did some scouting and we really got our $3.00 worth!

Sherman Library & Gardens was founded in 1966 by Arnold D. Haskell and named in memory of Moses H. Sherman, educator and California pioneer.

The grounds are beautifully arranged and the Spring colors were gorgeous. The library focuses on the history of the Pacific Southwest and is a research library not a circulating library.
