Ruby Tuesday ~

Photo taken from downtown Seattle looking across Elliott Bay to West Seattle. We’ve had very few sun breaks in the last few days. More rain is on it’s way with cooler temps rolling in. Is it sunny where you are? Have a great Tuesday.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

Ruby Tuesday ~ Snow Edition

Early snow for us in the Seattle area. Snow in the Seattle area is always a surprise, this early snow is doubly so. My hummingbird feeder has a nice layer on it. I watched as a poor little hummer tried to find the feeder source. So sad! I’ll have to run out there and knock the snow off!

And in late breaking news: Katie made it on an earlier flight then her original one out of Seattle on Monday afternoon and thankfully so or else she would have missed her connecting flight in San Jose. Her 4:00 flight finally departed at 6:11. This will still put her into San Jose in time for her connection. We are so fortunate and thankful to God for watching over her and us as we drove her to the airport. Snow has a way of paralyzing people and the roads in Seattle!

Ruby Tuesday ~

A Stroll Down 1st Street ~ Ruby Tuesday

The city of Snohomish in Washington state is a great place to visit. I first became acquainted with Snohomish going to soccer games at Stocker Fields. We would drive down 1st street on our way to the fields and be tempted to stop. Last week I was headed to a pumpkin farm but never spotted the turn to get to it so I decided to pull into Snohomish instead. Here’s a few of the things I saw.

Off of 1st street there are stairs to take you down to a trail along the Snohomish River.

I wasn’t totally disappointed about not getting to the Pumpkin Patch after I saw these and then walked into the Snohomish Pie Company.

I took home an Apple-Berry Crumb pie and it was really good and the berries were ruby.

Ruby Tuesday ~ Tonasket

Tonasket is a small community located along the eastern bank of the Okanogan River in north central Okanogan County, Washington. State Highway 97, the main north-south highway through central Washington, bisects the city on its way north to the Canadian border approximately twenty miles north.

Dear and I were on a little road trip to Northeastern Washington back in August when I took a shot of this store. We were here bright and early in the morning so it wasn’t open. I like the look of it.

Ruby in Kirkland…

Part of my family got together for a birthday dinner for my sister Lana last Friday night at the waterfront in Kirkland, Wa. My camera was clicking away and here are some Ruby shots to share. Please visit Mary at Work of the Poet to see more Ruby from around the world.

These ruby from the ceiling of the restaurant where we ate.

We are finally enjoying lots of summer days here in Western Washington. Half of our company flew home on Saturday and the rest leave on Tuesday evening. We’re celebrating my niece Melissa’s birthday tonight a week early since she is with us in Washington. Hope you are all enjoying the lazy days of summer wherever you are!

Ruby Tuesday…

I think this crow thinks he’s the King of the World…

I wonder how Mr. Rooster feels about that…

Ruby Tuesday ~ Fluffy Tailed Sneak!

You should see the antics this squirrel has to pull off to get situated on our bird feeder for a nice meal.

It always makes us chuckle.

Ruby Tuesday ~ My Little Visitor…

Time to visit Mary at Work of the Poet to see lots of ruby around the world. This week I’m sharing more photos of my little friend that visits me in the early evening.

Hummer is swift and sure and sometimes stays a while enjoying the sweet nectar we provide in our ruby feeder. Other times Hummer just shows up looks at me in the window and flies away.

Hope your week is off to a good start. We’re having a 4th of July barbecue at our house on Sunday so I’m getting all my ducks in a row. Today I payed all the bills ( now I know what cut of meat I can afford to BBQ…chuckle), weeded the planter,  helped Dear paint half the deck, and did laundry. Tomorrow it’s vacuuming and dusting and finishing the deck. I love an event that motivates!!

Ruby Tuesday ~ Daughter & Boyfriend

It’s time for Ruby Tuesday. Please visit Mary at Work of the Poet to join in the Ruby fun.

Our Daughter’s boyfriend Andrew stayed with us for a week to spend time with Katie before he starts Marine Boot Camp on June 28th. He planned a special date on one of the evenings which happened to be last Tuesday. Katie wore her red dress and Andrew ordered flowers ahead of time to surprise her at their table. What a guy! All just perfect for Ruby Tuesday.

Andrew flew back to Florida Sunday night and he starts Marine boot camp on June 28th. We are praying that all will go well for him during this grueling physical experience.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your Tuesday goes well…
