The city of Snohomish in Washington state is a great place to visit. I first became acquainted with Snohomish going to soccer games at Stocker Fields. We would drive down 1st street on our way to the fields and be tempted to stop. Last week I was headed to a pumpkin farm but never spotted the turn to get to it so I decided to pull into Snohomish instead. Here’s a few of the things I saw.
Off of 1st street there are stairs to take you down to a trail along the Snohomish River.
I wasn’t totally disappointed about not getting to the Pumpkin Patch after I saw these and then walked into the Snohomish Pie Company.
I took home an Apple-Berry Crumb pie and it was really good and the berries were ruby.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.
What a charming town. I can see that their residents are/were big on clocks! 🙂
Mmmmm! Those pies look so yummy!
Beautiful place. I love that clock. Looks very old timish 🙂
Looks like a novel place to visit! Interesting clocks!
Pretty quaint town and I’m wondering how the pies taste. I would probably have to google for a apple berry crumb pie recipe and bake one so as to know how it tastes. 🙂
We spent a lovely day in Snohomish in the spring. What a pretty town. The Great Dane was a good sport and accompanied me into every antique store – up and down stairs and into every booth. I fantasized about living in such a pretty river town!
A quaint town – I love walking down the street with you Ellen 🙂 Perhaps you might like to share that pie?
Oh I enjoy those little home towns that have character and something you don’t expect to see around every corner.
I get such a kick out of the old ’50s style neon signs. They seemed hokey to me until just lately; now I find pictures of them are just cool!
Love your RT photo capture. It’s fun to go on a stroll with you. 😉
LOL…when I went to Apple Hill, I ended up taking home a balckberry pie, not an apple one….it is unbaked, and frozen…still. I can’t wait until Thanksgiving, or some cold winter’s night to bake it and have that little taste of summer….
What a nice looking little town. And that pie sounds yummy!
I will be back to Snohomish someday. We spent a 1/2 hour walking up the street there on our bike trip. What a gorgeous town.
This is such a cute town! Now why do I want pie for breakfast?
Ellen, I’m sorry you missed your pumpkin patch but I loved your pictoral stroll down 1st street.
And going home with a ‘ready made’ pie can’t be all bad, can it?? smile..
