I’ve put a lot of time into my blog on this Labor Day weekend. I used Photobucket for my photo storage at the very beginning and at that time it was a free service. Then a few years in and thousands of photos later they decided to charge for this service and at the beginning the charge was more than I was willing to pay. This left thousands of my posts blotted out messes. I now have access to those photos again so I’m going back and fixing things. It is a chore. I’ve made it through 2007 and half of 2008.
It has been nostalgic and eye opening to all the things I forgot and all the nonsense I posted. Ha!
Some of these events that got blotted out completely I don’t want to forget. This is the first one from May 5th, 2007.
This is for my blogging journal history.
On the way to our nephew Tim’s graduation from Westmont on Saturday May 5th of 2007 we stopped at the Beach Cafe for breakfast.
Since our little condo in Camarillo was the closest to Montecito (Santa Barbara) we offered up a little stopover for all to celebrate after the Graduation ceremonies before the attendees had to travel further for home.

I cannot remember what we fed people for this time together. We lived in this condo from 2006 until early 2010.
This nephew was married in 2008 and has two daughters a dog and some chickens. 🙂
There will be more of these historical posts in the future as I tidy up things on my blog.

That sounds like a chore for sure. I used Photo Bucket way back when but have those blogs bound into books and I just deleted pics that didn’t appear. Not all were photo bucket. There are still some blocked on my oldest blog posts, but I’m doing good to blog at all right now so likely won’t fix them. It is fun to look back on the blogs though and I enjoy doing that from time to time. It’s so nice to have life recorded somewhere. Have a great week!

Good job with going back and fixing all your previous posts. It is wonderful to look back on old posts and photos for the memories.
So glad you were able to retrieve your pictures, but what an undertaking to read them to every blog post, but obviously worth it. I used Blogtoprint to have my blog printed every year. But a couple years ago the company disappeared. Do you print your yearly posts and if so who do you recommend?
Hi Libby, I haven’t printed off my yearly posts so I don’t have any recommendations. That would be a fun and I’m wondering how costly it might be…

Sorry about the photos. Sounds like a lot of work.
I have a Samsung phone and the rest of the family have iPhones. Now they changed the photos on the iPhone and Adam’s pictures won’t download on my Chromebook. They do go into Google photos so I can use them to write a post. I also can’t get them on my Picture Keeper where I put all of my photos.

I had a few photo storage places, like Photobucket and Smugmug, they all got very expensive.Now I keep all my photos on external hard drives. I am glad you could retrieve your photos and memories. Take care, enjoy your day!
