This hasn’t been one of my favorite weeks for sure because of Dear and I getting sick and being “In” all weekend and Monday. But that won’t stop me from finding 5 things that made my week, anyway!
1. Seeing this photo of all my kids together having fun with two of their cousins at the Japanese Gardens in Seattle.
Niece-Michelle, Daughter-Katie, Niece-Melissa, DIL-Laura, Son-Dan, Son-Josh
2. Cracking myself up creating these Turkey Cookies!
3. Meeting my niece Michelle and my Grand Nephew Jackson at the Pumpkin Patch!
4. Hearing that our 911 neighbor is moving out soon. Hopefully peace will be restored around here…
5. My last Fave is having a little Attitude Adjustment at the Beach on Thursday morning this week.
I’m throwing in a few more photos of my kids from the Japanese Gardens as a bonus for ME! :0)
My Boys (Men)
Josh and Laura!
My Niece Michelle (Jackson’s mom) and daughter Katie.
Thanks Michelle for letting me steal these photos of you all at the Garden!

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage demanding a ransom that I can’t afford. So frustrating as I try to clean up my posts and delete their ugly squares of black and grey off my blog posts!
Those cookies are adorable. The one with the white eyeballs gave me a giggle. So thankful the beautiful ocean picture came after the “oh my” picture of your neighbor. I could almost imagine you grabbing your camera to catch that shot—hehehe. I must confess that I may be a bit jealous of the ease at which you can set your eyes on the majesty of one of His oceans. How beautiful, how powerful, how amazing it is how this world of His works.
Those cookies are adorable!! You have a beautiful family 🙂
I love Japenese Gardens. They are so beautiful and serene. We have one here too, though probably not as big as yours. Great pics! I love those cookies. I’ll have to remember them for next Thanksgiving. Ours was last weekend already.
ellen you have such a beautiful family. . . I love the photos of them all and the rest of your week. . .if we didn’t know you had felt so miserable. . .well, we would have never known. . . love those turkeys. . .so cute.
You have such a good looking family! I’d post lots of pics too! And those trees in the background of that first shot are gorgeous. Cute cookies.
Hmm, don’t know the story on your neighbor but oh my on the jeans!
We took our grandbabies to the pumpkin patch, what fun!
I hope I can be back doing this fun meme more regularly now!
Oh yes! Hey points for me! I took that lovely picture of the kids!!! So much fun we had – we all wished you were with us.
I hope you plan on making those cookies when you’re here for Thanksgiving! Maybe that should be a girls project that week!!
You already know my thoughts on the neighbor – sheesh! Still praying for that situation!
Love Love your picks of the beach. Great captures!!!
Ah, it’s #4 that made me smile. Hope you get some really nice new neighbors soon.
Love the cookies! Will you share the recipe, please? They look like a snickerdoodle base?
And the neighbor? Yeesh!
Elle! Those are snickerdoodles….that I bought! So sorry I have no recipes except for buy sugar or snickerdoodle cookies (or make them) and decorate them with all the creativity you can muster. I ended up poking a very little hole in a sandwich bag to squeeze the narrow stream of frosting to make the feet and nose…
Great pictures. You’re blessed with a beautiful family. And I’m totally going to make those cookies!
P.S. You’re awesome for taking a picture of your neighbor. I would want to but would fear getting caught…
Those cookies are soo cute!! I’m glad to hear your neighborhood will be a little more peaceful. I am sorry to hear you and hubby have been sick — hope you’re better now — or will be soon.
Those are fantastic shots! What a beautiful family you have. And hooray for 911 neighbor possibly leaving! Glad to hear you are feeling better.
LOL I’m sorry but the neighbor picture just cracked me up…what is up with those jeans? And the thought of you taking that photo is really funny too, I would be too scared of getting caught LOL
Wonderful pictures, love it.
You have given me a big laugh, too!! I would be afraid someone would here the camera click!! Haha!! Love the cookies…pics of the kids and the surf!! Have a good weekend!!
Blessings Ellen…WOW! Fantastic FOTOS for Friday’s Fave Five! What beautiful young people! And those cookies the BEST! Very Creative!
And such a delight at the Pumpkin Patch! But my favorite, of course,
even though I miss those fall colors is the Surf…the “Attitude Adjustment at the beach”! This is classic! You are an excellent photographer!

Gramma A.
Great cookies! Hope you’re feeling better.
I love those cookies – they look so cute. I also love the shots of your kids at the Japanese Garden. And finally, I got a chuckle in seeing the picture of your neighbor — you manage to capture just about everything in pictures, don’t you? 🙂
Have a restful weekend. I hope you are feeling better.
OH MY G—–
does she know you took that picture??!! HOLY CROW! maybe your house-cooling gift to her should be a pair of jeans IN THE RIGHT SIZE!!
Yikes and Yowzers!
or you could just tape that pic to her door….then she’d probably think twice before she buys the next pair.
Ellen, Love your family pictures – isn’t fun to see the cousins get together? Our Sarah is heading out with 9 girl cousins – ages 7-20 – to see High School Musical 2 at the movie theatre.
Your grand-nephew is a sweetheart!
Love the cookies – I’ll be copying.
#4 – yikes!
I hope your 911 neighbour has found somewhere safe to go. Your family is beautiful and your biscuits look delicious. 🙂 ENjoy your weekend!
