Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Even if you don’t live in the USA it is good to be thankful!
I am very happy to report the wind storm predicted for yesterday was not bad at our country bungalow and we never lost power! Dear managed to remove the dishwasher that came with our home and replace it with the dishwasher we brought with us from Kenmore a year ago. We loved our Miele and didn’t want to leave it behind. We are gifting the dishwasher we removed to our DIL’s mom who is remodeling her kitchen. It’s a relatively new Bosch.
Gobble gobble till you wobble.
The photo above is from a Thanksgiving past while we still lived in Kenmore.
We aren’t cooking a turkey at our bungalow until Saturday. We’ll be enjoying our home having the aroma of the classic Thanksgiving treats then. Today we’ll enjoy turkey and trimmings at our middle Son and DIL’s home with her family.
Our daughter and SIL are driving today to come to our side of Washington. Praying for safe travels for them. Our oldest and his love fly over on Friday after they host a meal at their home on Thanksgiving day.
Hope your Thanksgiving Day is filled with peace, joy and love. Cheers!
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV):
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing,
give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Time for Miss Jenny’s Alphabe-Thursday. We are on the letter C. C is for cute cookies or corny cookies or candy corny cookies.
You could have fun making these funny looking turkey cookies for Thanksgiving!
Bought my turkey and all the ingredients for the trimmings. All the cooking will be happening on Saturday because our family will be celebrating Thanksgiving early. Our Canadian neighbors celebrated Thanksgiving a whole month ago!
Since C is our letter this week I’ll share that I just finished a deep cleaning of my kitchen. Now I can mess it all up again on Saturday when I chop chop chop and stuff and mash and cook all the goodies for our celebration!
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
This hasn’t been one of my favorite weeks for sure because of Dear and I getting sick and being “In” all weekend and Monday. But that won’t stop me from finding 5 things that made my week, anyway!
1. Seeing this photo of all my kids together having fun with two of their cousins at the Japanese Gardens in Seattle.
Niece-Michelle, Daughter-Katie, Niece-Melissa, DIL-Laura, Son-Dan, Son-Josh
2. Cracking myself up creating these Turkey Cookies!
3. Meeting my niece Michelle and my Grand Nephew Jackson at the Pumpkin Patch!
4. Hearing that our 911 neighbor is moving out soon. Hopefully peace will be restored around here…
5. My last Fave is having a little Attitude Adjustment at the Beach on Thursday morning this week.
I’m throwing in a few more photos of my kids from the Japanese Gardens as a bonus for ME! :0)
My Boys (Men)
Josh and Laura!
My Niece Michelle (Jackson’s mom) and daughter Katie.
Thanks Michelle for letting me steal these photos of you all at the Garden!

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage demanding a ransom that I can’t afford. So frustrating as I try to clean up my posts and delete their ugly squares of black and grey off my blog posts!
