Some things of late that I want to store up in my memories.

Turkeys have been strutting around our property this Spring.

This is the latest puzzle I put together and it was a delight except for the pictures of the puzzle on the box did not show a section of the right side of the puzzle or the very top of the puzzle.

This puzzle was found at Goodwill. It was a sealed puzzle that had never been opened so I was confident all the pieces would be in the box. A fun celebration puzzle to complete for the 250th anniversary of our country!

For the Friday night of our latest Birthday Weekend this recipe for Raspberry Lemon Bars was a hit. Click on the link to find the recipe from Reluctant Entertainer.
There were stories told and stories reenacted that made for lots of laughter during the birthday weekend and afterward. If you know you know. I know these next photos will be a hilarious reminder.

I’ve had some nostalgic days going through photo albums after the death of a dear friend of ours and it was uncanny to come across our sons combined 7th and 9th birthday party photos and to see the similarity to our grandsons party this Spring some thirty eight years later!!

Laura captured this beautiful photo of Colville mountain driving into town for the birthday weekend. She has a knack for capturing beauty around her.

Homeschool Co-op had their last session on Thursday. These three have done well and persevered. That doesn’t mean school is over for the year, though.

Working on the last of the limbs to maneuver to the burn pile on this sunny and windy Friday.

Hope you have a beautiful Spring Day in your corner of the world. If you are in a land below the Equator have a lovely Fall Day!
I love a good lemon bar and I love raspberry and lemon together. Those look delicious! My son-in-law would love to have turkeys out his back door. That’s his favorite thing to hunt and apparently it’s not easy. It’s neat to see them with their feathers puffed. Have a great weekend!
It surely must be Birthday season!! I love that you record things to store up your memories. That’s what I am attempting to do also – even though it is way too sporadic in my case! Your dessert looks delicious and those turkeys are magnificent! Enjoy your Spring days …
…I have NEVER been able to photograph a turkey like you did!
It is the little things that make up the beauty of our days! So sorry for the loss of your dear friend, and amazing to see the birthday similarities! Love the cross on the hill picture. Feels good to get the yard cleaned up for spring! Have a blessed day!
Fab photos! How cool to have the turkeys on your property. The Raspberry Lemon Bars look so good and it sounds like a good weekend was had by all.
I loved seeing a glimpse of the beauty in your world. I’m clicking over for the lemon bar recipe. Looks delicious! Have a good weekend!
Hello,
The lemon bars look yummy! I like the turkey photos.
Looks like some fun birthday times.
Have a happy weekend.
That’s a beautiful puzzle and makes me excited to celebrate July 4th this year! 🙂
The raspberry lemon bars look absolutely delicious! And I love the scenic photos of the rustic trees. I love wooded areas!!
That raspberry dessert looks great! I’d swing by your place to ask for a slice, but by the time I arrive, it will be all gone, I’m sure!
Wonderful photos. Great looking turkey. I’ve seen turkeys around here but only the females. Haven’t see a male.
Lots of happy memories in your corner. That cake looks delicious and I love the puzzle. Happy Sunday to you. B x
The big C on the side of the mountain is cool! What is the C made of?
Lisa, I believe the C is made from painted white boulders. I haven’t hiked to the C myself, though.
The birthday themes amazing after all these years!
What a fun fat Tom Turkey to see! It really has been a wonderful wild turkey season as many have been sighted all over Colorado as well. There is a big “M” on Mount Zion in Golden, CO that the students from the nearby Colorado School Of Mines have made with white painted rocks. The freshmen bring up a rock when they begin their first year of study and take back their rock as a memento when they graduate.
We have lots of turkeys in our neighborhood, but I’ve never seen one displaying so nicely!
Thank you for sharing the lemon bar recipe — the presentation is so appealing. It makes me want to make a favorite dessert of mine that is a lemon pudding cake with raspberry sauce. My mouth is puckering just thinking of it 🙂
Wow, that’s pretty interesting about the turkeys. Love the puzzle. The dessert looks yummy. Love the sweet photos you shared. I didn’t realize they were home schooled. That last picture is a beauty.
