Tiggerlane, the Neophyte is hosting Fun Monday this week. Here’s her assignment.
Have you heard of The Bucket List? Well, that’s what I want from you! Make a list of things you want to do before you die. It must be at leastfive items – and you can make it as long as you desire. Photos are optional. And let’s hear about some of the wackiest, most bizarre to-do’s on your Bucket List!
These are not listed in order of importance just in order of how they came into my brain.
1. Visit Ireland. And while there I want to visit Trinity College and see the Book of Kells. I also want to tour the Guinness Brewery. A visit to the Jameson Distillery for my husband’s pleasure. I want to eat a good meal in Cork. I’d like to see the countryside. I’d love to do a Pub Crawl with some good traditional Irish music.
2. I’d love to experience grandchildren.
3. I’d like to fly first-class to Australia or New Zealand so the many hours in the plane would feel more comfortable.
4. I’d like to have a great famous cook like Ina Garten or Jamie Oliver cook a meal for me and my friends at my house with a clean up crew.
5. I’d like to walk across England from the Irish Sea to the North Sea.
6. I’d like to meet some of my bloggy friends at a spa resort.
7. I’d like to be living back in my home in the Seattle area.
I’m just not a person who desires whacky or bizarre things in my life. I’m happy with a cup of tea in a beautiful setting.
Or a lovely meal with friends. A worshipful church service where the truth is taught and the love of God is felt. Probably the most out of this world experience I think would be real cool is …
8. The Acts 2:2-4 experience…”Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
For me that would be an amazing experience.

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage. They have blacked out all those photos on my blog posts. OH BOTHER! I’m slowly cleaning up my posts.
You and me both!!! I have Ireland on my list too.
My Fun Monday is posted. I had a good time this week, voicing my opinions on Fun Monday.
Happy week to you.
I have always thought it would be great to have someone come to my house and cook. Even better, teach me to cook so I can cook all the time. I’m not very good at it. Good bucket list!
Great list. If you get to Ireland, let me know. I can recommend great places in cork and the countryside.
Ellen, I could copy and paste your #1. tHat could be my whole list!
: D
“I also want to tour the Guinness Brewery”
Ok, you win. I want to be hired on for “product testing.”
That’s more a wish list then a “want to do list”, but whatever it is, better you start today in case a car runs you over, lol !
the only people who dont want to go to ireland are the ones that live there.. what is it about that country!
What a great list, and I would LOVE Ina cooking for me too!! Actually, there’s a show called ‘Take Home Chef’ and I’d LOVE for Curtis Stone to come find me in the supermarket!
I can help you with #7 – sort of! We are moving and have a house to sell. It even comes with 2.8 acres!! Not exactly the same neighborhood you were in before, but close. Love the photo you posted – the sunshine looks sooooo good right now!! Thanks for visiting my blog last week. When I get the time, I like participating in Kelli’s Show & Tell.
It is funny how many of us want to visit Ireland. My excuse is that I’m married to an Irishman…not that he’s ever been there or anything!
Sorry Susan; but in terms of the Dictionary definition, he’s only Irish if he was born there…!! :0(
I LOVE your list!! Love it! And we would join you on that Guinness tour! My mostly-Irish guy would keel over with sheer joy.
P.S. I recently appeared on a TV cookery programme – conjuring up a dish of honey-roast herbed pork for hunky UK celebrity chef, James Martin. Not that I ever got to meet him…darn.
Ah – first class! I’ve never done that. I did fly to England in “Mediallion” class before – now called business class, I believe. It was a very different experience from steerage (er, um, coach).
coach – steerage! Very funny, Sayre.
I love your list and everyone’s right. We ALL want to go to Ireland!
The grandbaby thing? Nothing better in the entire world and, come to think of it, no one is closer to God than a baby (my opinion) and they speak in tongues! There yu go – all rolled into one!
Oh, I like your list. I would like to visit Ireland too and the idea of walking across England would be fun. And your #8 sounds great too. We had a service at church yesterday that gave me a tiny inkling of that experience. We were playing music and singing and worshipping and I got the most happiest, joyfulest feeling that’s hard to describe but it made me want to laugh it was so good.
Ireland seems to be on a lot of people’s lists! I want to see it too (as well as Australia. And I agree – first class all the way!)
Love #8 – would be a wonderful experience.
My dad’s family is originally from county cork in Ireland, so look forward to going there one day and looking up any relatives we may have left there. Kissing the Blarney stone would be another good thing to do. My hubby would love the pub crawl.
Thanks for visiting my blog.

What a lovely list. I did number one for my honeymoon last July and it was fabulous. I highly recommend it. A meal by Jamie Oliver sounds fabulous!
Interesting list, I love the walk across England idea. I hope that you get to all of these things. If number eight happens, you will have to blog about the experience.
A fine bucket full Ellen.
I like your list, especially as you want to visit Ireland and England. The book of Kells /Trinity was one of the first places I visited when my daughter moved to Dublin. Wonderful thought to be able to travel first class!!
A visit to a spa sounds good right now. Someplace with green grass, okay?
lovely bucketful!
ya know, my husband was in ireland last october (without me, the rat) and the book of kells exhibit was CLOSED. he was disappointed.
and i’d be happy to have ANYONE come and cook for me (with a cleanup crew, of course). they don’t even have to be mildly famous!!!!!
Oh, walking across England would be amazing.
Great list. Those first class seats sure do look comfy.
Hey, I’d cook if someone would clean up after me!
Scotland and France are on my list of places to visit before I die.
I have a life list written somewhere that includes learning to canoe.
LOVE IT ALL! And yes the only way to fly to Australia is Business Class or higher! It sure is nice to sleep fully reclined in your seat!!
Ahhhh Guinness! I went to the 80th birthday party for a man who was an executive with Guinness. He was retired (obviously) but at 80 years old, he volunteered as a golf course marshal so he could play golf for free and he was a volunteer greeter at a local bar so he could drink Guinness for free. He was 80 and his wife was my age (approximately 33 at the time of the party). He was quite a character.
Gosh I can’t imagine leaving the country I just wanna visit the next state!! Lots of luck You have a good list!!
great bucket list!! I would love to meet up with you at a spa someday!!
OH yea grandbabies are on my list as well. The spa sounds lovely! Thanks for enlightening me on first class to Australia, I would WANT that!
Okay.. I have grandkids, so I can mark that one off.
But I would LOVE to do the rest with you. I need to get into shape for that walk, though.
What a great list!!
How about first class to Ireland too. Sounds like the blog party will be there!
Great List! The First Class picture really looks nice!
Loved your list, particularly the last. That would be quite an experience.
I would totally tag along on your travels – but most DEFINITELY on the pub crawl. Thanks so much for participating!
Great list! I love the idea of having a professional chef come cook for me. I’m always on the look out for the Take Home chef when I go to the market! haha
Can I join you at the spa?
In the house of God where His truth is taught and His love is felt–amen, sister! Wild and whacky aren’t for me either, but an outpouring of the Spirit? bring it on!
GREAT list! Look forward to meeting face to face, either at that spa or on the Irish pub crawl!
Oh yeah, I would like to fly first class too, I thought it was a spa at first so maybe we can all meet on a plane. 🙂
