Awana Awards were at the beginning of May. Both Addy and JJ did well and completed their books. Addy completed some extra credit books, too. JJ graduates from Cubbies and will be a Sparky with Addy next year.
A fieldtrip to the local small airport was a hit!

Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend we got ready for a Mother’s Day Fun 5K at our local Rotary Trail.

After our 5K this little guy got a nice haircut!
Our dear Addy had out-patient surgery on May 17th and all went well and her recovery went smoothly enough that she was able to be at her Piano Recital on May 20th. We made it back from the Westside in time to enjoy her piano pieces.

…a busy month, what’s planned for June?
June looks relatively quiet right now except for the very last weekend. June will go out with an epic early celebration of our 50th year of marriage! We chose to celebrate in the sunshine instead of snow, June instead of December!

I’m so glad that they had a field trip to the local airport. When our grandson was with us one summer I made arrangements with a friend who worked at the small airport in Morgantown for our grandson to have a tour. It so happened that while we were there that two Army men were about to fly out and they gave Josh a tour of their aircraft in addition to the other tour that my friend had arranged. That’s something Addy and JJ will always remember.
