This barn was spotted off Douglas Falls Rd. in Colville, Washington on September 3rd.
I’ll be linking up to The Barn Collective hosted by Tom The Backroads Traveller.
While we were in Colville over Labor Day weekend we visited a friend of our daughter in law’s family who lives alone and is getting on in age. I took these next photos at her charming older home. She has a nice grape arbor and we picked several clusters of her seedless grapes to take back to D and J’s.
I’ll also be linking up to Mosaic Monday with Maggie at Normandy Life.
We are over half way through September already. Autumn is upon us and we are seeing the seasonal changes around this old house. Soon we’ll be raking leaves. Do you see changes in your neck of the woods?
Oh my! I don’t know if I love the stars and stripes barn or the grape arbor most! And, I’m all about photos of sunflowers. You sure live in a beautiful area!
Oh those grape arbors and sunflowers! Great pictures Ellen. Love the white picket fence too.
The barn is cool and all, but that grape arbor…..WOW!!!!!!!! You know I love my barns, but the arbor really grabbed my attention this time around! My parents had a small arbor when we were children. Such terrific memories for me.
Hi Ellen, I love the barn and sunflowers photos! I see changes here, already trees have changed to yellows, pinks and reds. The days are lusciously warm and cool nights have arrived. Blessings to you.
Gotta love a barn with the stars and stripes on it!
The garden and arbor are so pretty! Those grapes are going to be tasty!
Love the barn. The house you visited is very pretty with the white picket fence and those gorgeous sunflowers. The grape arbor is beautiful too.
Love the sunflowers. I have them all over my yard.
What a beautiful collage! Brought a big old smile to my face.
A very interesting barn, and the sunflowers and grape arbor are beautiful!
That is one patriotic barn. Nice find! The grapes remind me of my grandma’s house. Her angelic grandchildren usually had them picked and eaten before she could make jam. I live in farm country, so we are seeing the soybeans change to a brilliant yellow. Some of the trees are putting on their fall colors, too.
…now that’s quite a paint job on the barn, once in a while I find one like this. My wife is patiently waiting to have her first Concord grapes. Thanks Ellen for sharing, I hope that you will again.
Nice barn. but now I am thirsty for some grapes…
