ABC’s of the Word ~ The Winds and the Waves…

This weekend we experienced the power of the winds and the waves. The power of both were amazing. The truth that God created both and has the power to subdue them is amazing…

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007 to 2015 hostage and has replaced them all with ugly black and grey boxes asking for a ransom to have them re-published. Such a frustrating bother as I go through each post to delete the ugly boxes.

  1. I read Willow’s comment and had to go back up to look at the picture. I was wondering what islands she was talking about. Good glory…there they were. I was so taken by the waves I didn’t look at the rest of the picture. I am really enjoying all your crashing wave pictures.

  2. We too have had the wind and I often wonder why the Lord won’t cause them to subside for me :). It’s an amazing thing to think that something that causes such destruction can be commanded by one Man. There truly is nothing too large for Him…including our struggles.

I hope today is a day filled with God’s amazing wonder for you, Ellen B.,

  3. Nature was meant to be beautiful as God created it, but what a mess did we make of it… by our greed and lust for power. Fortunately God has the final word in our lives.

  4. That is another wonderful text…we have been overwhelmed with strong weather happenings lately. It is good to contemplate the power of God which is apart from nature in all its manifestations.

  5. I wanted to add that your text reminded me of Elijah’s experience where the powerful forces of nature demonstrated God’s power, but were not a demonstration of His character:
“Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.” 1Kings 18:11-12.
