He’s the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
Matthew 6:28-34
“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Soloman in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Have a worry free day my friends…

I am breathlessly waiting for my lilies to bloom. I go around every morning expecting to see them, but alas. No flowers yet. Nice to see yours, though!
Such beautiful lillies in all their silken splendor.
Amen! Gorgeous as always! I love the color of those lilies; i always think of white ones, so it’s very neat to see them in other colors!
Oh, so beautiful. Now, I’m singing that hymn. Blessings!
I’m constantly floored by your photos; You have a very inspiring blog. The image of the flowers are always uplifting and a great reminder of the greatest artist of all, Our Heavenly Father.

Pink lilies! I don’t see those too often. Usually I see the tiger lily ones around here.

Praise God our Savior knows exactly what we need!
Beautiful! As a chronic worrier, that Matthew passage is one I reread on a regular basis.
Very special. No one can make beauty as God does.
Beautiful lilies and great verses! We spoke those verses at our high school baccalaureate. Very special!
Found the site while looking up the reference to lilies in Matthew Chapter 6 for my son’s homeschool science lesson.
The post is beautiful and it was a great compliment to our study on flowers and our scripture for the day.
