WFW ~ The Lily ~ Matthew 6: 28-34

He’s the lily of the valley, the bright and morning star

He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

Matthew 6:28-34

“And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin, yet I say to you that not even Soloman in all his glory clothed himself like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith! Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Have a worry free day my friends…

  3. Ellen,
I had to wait until tonight to visit because my office computer always blocks your photos! Boy, was this worth the wait. These lillies are gorgeous! I especially love that you created collages of several. This verse has always been a favorite of mine, and a promise I have held to many times. Thank you for this beautiful and encouraging post!

  5. Found the site while looking up the reference to lilies in Matthew Chapter 6 for my son’s homeschool science lesson.
The post is beautiful and it was a great compliment to our study on flowers and our scripture for the day.
