L is for London
Dear and I love to travel to Great Britain and spend some time in London while we travel about the Isle. This is me in February of 2003 after we took a ride on the London Eye. You can see the “Eye” in the background.
This is a shot of one of the pods across from ours.
You really get a wonderful view of all of London.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. I’m slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!
What a fantastic show here for L = LONDON and ABC post.
come n visit mine.
Glad you enjoyed the ride – it’s fun isn’t it?
Thank you for sharing a little of London. It’s nice to be transported with a picture and see through your eyes a place that you enjoy!
It is good to be home!!
That`s wonderful, you have even got Big Ben on your first photo.Love your L-post.Have a nice wednesday:o)
Yikes–I think I’d be afraid to ride in the Eye. Great pics, though!
I was in London once, 40 years ago. I had to stop and count. I have no good photos from then……..yours are awesome! I don’t think I could enjoy the view from up so high, but it looks interesting.

You know how much I love London and all of Great Britain! Thanks for sharing.
I’m so sorry you are still in bed. Call and let me know how you are tomorrow and we’ll see about a slow walk or shuffle around your neighborhood. Get well soon!
Enjoy the dreammmmm……
I love London, too! But the “eye” wasn’t built the last time I spent any time there. Last time (2006) I spent more time in the Hampshires and went by train to Cardiff. I like the photos very much. Come and visit me! 😀
Brilliant, simply brilliant. I too loved visiting London back when I was an educator who took students on European trips. On my last visit in June 2001, I rode the London Eye in the early afternoon and again at dusk. What great memories your post has brought back for me.
Great L – I’ll be there very soon!
My L is here.
Wonderful views. If I go to London the Eye will be on my list.

We visited London in 2006! We had a great time but were glad to return home. So different from our village life. Guess we are spoilt!

It looks amazing. I definitely want to go there some day.
I love London too. And the Eye was fantastic.
Nice photo of you!
Beautiful picture of Big Ben. I didn’t know the Eye existed. It looks like a giant ferris wheel, but each pod fits many people. I hope I get a chance to visit London someday.
I love London. I was able to visit once. we stayed at a hotel right on the Thames near BigBen. the buildings are gorgeous.
There was no “Eye” in London when I was there over forty years ago. Looks like there are many places I need to revisit. If we do get to London, however, I don’t think I will ride the “Eye”. I may be overcoming my fear of heights, but I don’t think the cure extends quite that far.
i really want to visit London! that would be so amazing!

Very good choice for L, as so many photos. My favourite has to be the London Eye.
To answer your question, no Russain connection re the name on may part.I’m a big Kate Bush fan, It’s one of her song titles, which i use. Easy to remeber and has become at bit of nickname.
Thanks for stopping by, and sor sharing your lovely London Photos.
