ABC Wednesday ~ L is for …

L is for London

Dear and I love to travel to Great Britain and spend some time in London while we travel about the Isle. This is me in February of 2003 after we took a ride on the London Eye. You can see the “Eye” in the background.

This is a shot of one of the pods across from ours.

You really get a wonderful view of all of London.

For more ABC Wednesday Posts on the letter L head on over to Mrs. Nesbitt’s.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and they have blacked them all out. I’m slowly working at restoring my posts without their help. Such a tiresome bother!

  1. Thank you for sharing a little of London. It’s nice to be transported with a picture and see through your eyes a place that you enjoy!
It is good to be home!!

  2. I was in London once, 40 years ago. I had to stop and count. I have no good photos from then……..yours are awesome! I don’t think I could enjoy the view from up so high, but it looks interesting.

  3. You are tagged. Please go to my blog- Random Thoughts, and read my latest post “10 Reasons Why I Blog.” After reading it, please make your on post on “10 Reasons Why I Blog,” then copy the tagboard after the meme and add your name next to mine. Then tag as many persons as you could, giving them these same instructions. Please copy and include the tagboard after your meme and instruct those you will tag to do the same. This will ensure a tremendous surge in the number of traffic and viewers in our respective blogs. Do this and see how traffic and viewership figures in your blog increase exponentially. Thank you very much and God bless.

  4. You know how much I love London and all of Great Britain! Thanks for sharing.
I’m so sorry you are still in bed. Call and let me know how you are tomorrow and we’ll see about a slow walk or shuffle around your neighborhood. Get well soon!
    Enjoy the dreammmmm……

  5. I love London, too! But the “eye” wasn’t built the last time I spent any time there. Last time (2006) I spent more time in the Hampshires and went by train to Cardiff. I like the photos very much. Come and visit me! 😀

  6. Brilliant, simply brilliant. I too loved visiting London back when I was an educator who took students on European trips. On my last visit in June 2001, I rode the London Eye in the early afternoon and again at dusk. What great memories your post has brought back for me.

  7. Good choise for L.
    Beautiful shots.
I HAVE to visit London one day….. 😉
I have only switched planes in England and visited Newcastle once with boat. So, i haven`t seen much of England, unfortunately.

  8. OI, I wish I could go to London ones in my live-time! Maby some day I will do that;)
Fantasic wonderful photos and I like them all:)
    Big Ben are just wonderful!

  9. Beautiful picture of Big Ben. I didn’t know the Eye existed. It looks like a giant ferris wheel, but each pod fits many people. I hope I get a chance to visit London someday.

  10. There was no “Eye” in London when I was there over forty years ago. Looks like there are many places I need to revisit. If we do get to London, however, I don’t think I will ride the “Eye”. I may be overcoming my fear of heights, but I don’t think the cure extends quite that far.

  11. Very good choice for L, as so many photos. My favourite has to be the London Eye.

To answer your question, no Russain connection re the name on may part.I’m a big Kate Bush fan, It’s one of her song titles, which i use. Easy to remeber and has become at bit of nickname.

Thanks for stopping by, and sor sharing your lovely London Photos.
