Photo Hunters ~ Delicious!

Delicious or as we like to say with a Russian accent Duhliscious!

This is the delicious baked treat we had over Christmas and New Years. I will be posting the recipe in the future for my Russian friends who don’t have this recipe (Roolyet) handed down to them.

  1. they all look yummy to me but i’d love to try the Russian food first. gimme some please! 😉

btw, thanks for dropping by my blog. happy new year to ya!

  2. Looking forward to the recipe posts!!!!

I had to ask our ‘in house’ translator what vareniki is, and am delighted that it just may be “THE” recipe that has alluded us these 5+ years!!!

DH and oldest daughter tried to make pelmini about 3-4 yrs. ago and the dough just wasn’t ‘right’–and DH is an excellent cook! I’m assuming that vareniki and pelmini use the same or similar doughs????

  4. Holiday food is the BEST! I ate plenty of it to prove it, too. haha!

Great photo collage. Come check out my photo when you get a chance.

    Have a good weekend!!!!

  5. Well, I am half-Ukrainian, and I do believe those pierogies wouldn’t last long enough to take the photo here in my house! (hubby is half-Ukie, as well and our kids LOVE perogies served ANY WAY!!!!) Nice photos….now my stomach is rumbling!

  6. Funny, we are Polish and have the same basic recipes and most are from an old Slovak cook book that was my great-aunt’s. I am always amazed at how similar the recipes are from that area, same basic foods, slightly different names. 🙂

  7. – that looks incredibly delicious!!!! I would have eaten all day long. Thank you so much for sharing.

    Have a great weekend 🙂
