I decided to bless my daughter by cleaning her room. She is 21, working, going to school and was just in her best friends wedding. Things have gotten away from her (now that’s an understatement). So I put my praise music on and got busy! Enjoy the before and after photos.
Katie was so thrilled when she came home from school and saw her room. We went out to dinner because mom was too pooped to cook after this transformation. Katie picked up the tab. Katie’s babushka (grandmother) wanted me to let Katie know that she was proud of her for taking me out to dinner. And yes, I got permission to post the pictures from “the daughter”.
As of July 2017 Photobucket has blacked out all my photos and is holding them hostage on their site.

This makes me feel good. To see this Ellen shows us your servants heart, let alone the love of your family. Some parents would have just shut the door and left her to deal with it all whenever. This tells your daughter you love her unconditonally and that you will be there for her no matter what. This demonstrates the love of Jesus, the heart of a servant and the hands of a servant doing the work of the Lord. This so blesses me, Ellen. This is what makes the difference in the lives of our children no matter their ages. I am glad you shared this. You might have been tired after doing it all yourself when it wasn’t yours to do but the look on her face when she opened her door was probably worth all of it. It’s not that you couldn’t stand it anymore, that’s not the point, the point is ‘I love you’. I did this for you to lighten your load. The speaks volumes Ellen about your relationship with your children. These little things end up being big things in the kingdom of God. This is why you and I have the relationship with our children we do. Thanks for sharing! You were treated to a nice meal, I received a beautiful kitchen floor. Our children love us and we love them. God is so good to us! (weepy eyes and a full heart!)

My daughter, on the other hand, has threatened to get a tatoo if I ever touch her room–just goes to show how two little girls can be friends from birth and turn out completely differently! Ah, the wonders of life together!

You know, I’ve done this before in my girl’s room, and she was not so pleased! She said, “I had everything just where I knew it would be. Now you have straightened it all up, but I can’t find anything.” I guess it has to be in plain sight for her to find it. You did a very nice thing for your daughter.
My room was such a mess my mom wanted to put in a sloping steal floor that could be hosed out from time to time. I to would have gotten a tatttoo if someone touched my room back then! It’s ok, I have pay back. My girls are slobs to!
