It’s time for The Weekend Roundup hosted by Tom The Backroads Traveller.

Home: The view of our home from the rear of our property. We got some snowshoes and I tried them out on Thursday taking some photos looking back at our home. You can see the garage on the left with our home on the right. A door and window of the laundry room, slider in our family room and double windows in our master bedroom suite. Home is where the heart is and all the happy memories we can make and enjoy.
My helper hanging a heart.
Half of a Hare’s head sticking up out of the snow.
And a parting shot…
We are having some snow flurries here with an inch or more of accumulation on top of our previous snow cover. We are looking forward to a quiet weekend. What’s happening in your corner?
I’m early for The Weekend Roundup. I’ll add the link when it becomes available.

House, as in our new house. We looked at so many properties and this one just seemed right to Dear and me.
We get possession on September 20th!
A Favorite. Hobby Horse
Addy looks quite pleased holding the “reins” on this hobby horse!
Horse: The famous White Horse from Banbury Cross.
When I was a school teacher we had a training session on how important nursery rhymes were to a child’s language development and future reading skills. So take that baby on your knee and have fun with all the nursery rhymes out there. Sing them instead of just saying them. I remember bouncing our three kids on my knee with this one. Now with our little granddaughter I’ve enjoyed bouncing her on my knees and repeating this rhyme.
Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross
To see a fine lady upon a white horse
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
She shall have music wherever she goes
In 2014 Dear and I visited Banbury in Oxfordshire specifically so that I could see this sculpture in the town center. You can read about this statue and some of it’s history in a post from 2014, Banbury~Oxfordshire
Thank you Tom for hosting The Weekend Roundup!

Next week’s prompts Starts with “I.” A Favorite. Inside.
Our inch and a half of snow is now all gone since rains came in overnight and melted it off the roofs and grass. Yesterday we re-arranged one of our spare bedrooms and it makes better sense of the room. I’ve been walking in there a few times just to enjoy the new look. We have a quiet weekend ahead. How about you?
