S is for Swans

Time for ABC Wednesday and the letter S.

Do some of you wonder why ABC Wednesday seems to start on Tuesday? There are so many countries represented that Wednesday comes earlier in those countries than the U.S.A. Does that make sense? Anyhoo Katie and I saw some beautiful swans and a little fluffy baby swan at Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, North Carolina that I thought would be perfect for the letter S. I’ll post our whole experience at the gardens in the future.

And this is my Swan Song for my time on the East Coast of the U.S.A. I’m headed back to the West Coast and my own bed after 25 days away!

Round Robin Photo Challenge ~ Before and After…

Before and After

Hello Robins! Here is my interpretation of Before and After. This is the window I look out from when I’m on my computer. I’ve seen so many sweet birds out in the bushes.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

Round Robin Photo Challenge ~ Outside the Window

It’s time for a new challenge. The idea for this one is to stand (or sit) outside a window, and photograph through it to whatever is inside.  Visit the Round Robin Photo Challenge Blog to see more entries for this challenge.

Here are a few photos I’ve taken that qualify for this challenge.

Looking in to a Tea Room in Santa Monica, California.

A fairy tale shop at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

A bridal gown shop in Laguna Beach, California. Generic with no sentiment or emotion attached when I took this. This next photo is another story…

This is our daughter in front of the Bridal shop in Bellevue, Washington where we just purchased her wedding dress. Very sentimental and personal with plenty of emotion attached!

A wedding is afoot at our house but because my daughter is marrying a Marine who will soon be in Active duty we do not know what date we can choose for the event yet. It will be sometime in the next year in the meantime we are preparing what we can because we might have very little notice for the actual event.

Have a great weekend Robins!

Round Robin Photo Challenge ~ Chickens…

“BOK… BOK… BOK… BOK… means our next challenge is “CHICKENS.” Sherrie, author of the blog, Sherrie’s Stuff, suggested this subject all the way back in January, somehow this seems like the perfect time to take it on!”

Chickens ~ A Rooster is a male chicken…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

Round Robin Challenge ~ By the Numbers…

This challenge is brought to us by the suggestion of Jill at South Bay Soliloquey, she wrote…

“How about something called “By the Numbers” as a topic? Anything showing numbers: signs, a child holding up fingers to show how old he is, a number on a shirt, house numbers, whatever…”
-Jill

So here are a couple photos from my archives from a trip to San Francisco and a photo I took this week right here in Camarillo.

This middle shot is from Camarillo, California.

So what say you Robins…Shall we all meet for a Pint after all this hard work running around town looking for numbers?!!

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

The End of Summer

It’s time for the Round Robin Photo Challenge and the theme is End of Summer.

The Southern California end of summer signs…

Another tell tale sign that summer is over…

Beautiful spider webs with sparkling dew…

And here is a view of the end of summer from the state of Washington…

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site. All my photos that I stored and uploaded from that site are now big ugly black and grey boxes with a message to pay big bucks to get them restored to my blog. It will take me a long time to restore thousands of posts.
