Hello November

Our phones were chiming all Halloween Eve with photos of nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews all dressed up for the night. We got to see our Pirate family in person when they came to our door for their treats. Addy was eager to share her treasure with us, too. She and Great Aunt Vera had fun with the bouncy balls in the hall. She wanted to take Auntie Vera home with her. Too cute. Our Bothell and Lynnwood kids got creative with their costumes, too. Josh was Bob Ross and Laura was his happy accident. So clever! Katie and Andrew went back to the fifties for their inspiration. Still waiting to hear how many kids came to the door. But here we go on to November!

Look at how cute our little parrot’s costume was. Jamie created it for JJ.

November comes
And November goes,
With the last red berries
And the first white snows.

With night coming early,
And dawn coming late,
And ice in the bucket
And frost by the gate.

The fires burn
And the kettles sing,
And earth sinks to rest
Until next spring.”

Happy November everyone. Today we are heading across the line into Canada to the town of Trail for some Persian food.

Barn Collective

Joining Tom at Backroads Traveler with some barns and farm scenes from Duvall and Carnation in Washington State.

Thanks Tom for hosting the Barn Collective.

We had a very busy Halloween evening at this old house. We had lots of candy on hand an still ran out! Our daughter Katie handed out the candy getting many stares and comments on her make-up. She applied the make-up herself. She was a broken doll. I wish I would have taken a photo of one of the wide eyed kids standing and staring and being frozen on our walkway…

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Our sweet little niece in her Pooh outfit. Oh how I’d love to kiss those cheeks!!

I really enjoy when little trick or treaters come to my door and I can ooh and aah and give them some candy.

My daughter and a co-worker created this Cinderella Carriage Pumpkin for a No carve pumpkin contest.

I really love the creativity of this Pumpkin carriage! Here’s my daughter and her boyfriend with their Halloween Party Costumes.

Princess Leia and Hans Solo!

Happy Halloween! Don’t forget to turn your clocks back tonight!!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
