Tablescape Thursday ~ Condo Barscape Revisited

Time flies when you travel north and south! It’s almost Thursday again and time for some more Tablescaping fun. I’m re-showing two variations on table settings at our bar in our little condo. I haven’t had time to think about new settings yet in this new year in my Southern California location. Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is the hostess for this fun event. Click on over and see the variety of fun, romantic, elegant, practical table settings that have been created.

The chargers are from TJ Maxx clearance. I used my everyday white dinner plates and then added the salad plate that I found at Marshall’s on clearance. I love plates with country scenes on them. The martini glasses, that I use for pretty desserts, too, were from target a couple years ago.

I changed up the tablesetting at the bar with these square grey chargers and square white plates and a small decorative plates that are “White Russian” plates. I love the little cocktail glasses I found with the Russian Cossack dancers on them. The napkin rings were a gift from my DIL and Son Christmas 2008.

Now head on over to Susan’s for more Tablescape inspiration.

Tablescape Thursday ~ Yorkshire

Time to visit Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for more tablescapes from around the Sphere.

Oopsie I bought some new/old dishes this week that I thought would be fun for a Thanksgiving Table. Now my dilema is how to get them up to Seattle for Thanksgiving this year. These dishes are Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Ironstone made in England. I got 36 pieces for $55.00. That comes out to about $1.54 per piece. I bought these at Goodwill.

I really enjoy dishes with English country scenes. I don’t have much in the Thanksgiving decorating realm here at the condo in California so I scrounged around to try to create something that might feel like harvest.

These are the 36 pieces that I purchased.

Be sure to visit Susan to see lots of fun table settings!

It’s Time for the Rooster Party!

Barb at Bella Vista is our lovely hostess for this event. Click on over and check out her sidebar to see all the participants who are showing their roosters this Friday!

I’m starting off with the real thing. These noisy guys were excited to wake everyone up so you can get an early start to make it around to all the party blogs!

All Around the Barnyard

All around the barnyard
The animals are fast asleep.
Sleeping cows and horses,
Sleeping pigs and sheep.

Here comes the cocky rooster
To sound his daily alarm.
“Cock-a-doodle-doo!
Wake up sleepy farm!”

You are going to need a good farmer style breakfast so you have the endurance to see all the roosters today so how about this…

Apricot-Almond French Toast with eggs and turkey sausage? or…

One of these egg dishes? Have fun everyone!

Thrifty Treasures!

Visit Rhoda at Southern Hospitality to see some amazing Thrify Treasures! Here are some of mine…

I’m back in Washington State and spent some time visiting some Goodwill stores in the Puget Sound area this last week. The platter and 3 cups and saucers cost me $12.99 for all 7 pieces. It is the Melody Pattern by Franciscan Staffordshire, England. The other cup and saucer is Myott Finlandia Stafforshire England and it cost me $2.99. Pink tags were half price this past Thursday-Sunday so the sweet detailed pitcher cost me $1.98.

I got 8 of these salad/dessert plates for $6.99. They are Floral Garden ~ Tomson Pottery.

Looking forward to seeing these new treasures on a tablescape in the future. Now I’m off to see what treasures you found!

Blessings on your new week…

Tablescape Thursday ~ Lighthouses

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday. Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is our hostess for this event. Click on over to her beautiful blog to see more scapes.

Before I left our condo in California for our home in Washington State I had some fun with this table. I had 4 Gracey Knight salad plates called Nantucket Shoreline that I wanted to create a table top around. My shells from my beach walks in the ginger jar made a fun centerpiece to go with these lighthouses.

I bought these 12 shell napkin rings at a local garage sale for $1.00. The light blue glass chargers cost me a 99 cents each at my local Goodwill.

Have a great Thursday everyone!

Tablescape Thursday ~ A Bar Setting…

Most of my stuff comes from Thrift stores, Marshalls, TjMaxx, or Target Clearance. I very rarely pay full price for anything. The pink jewel napkin rings are shower curtain hooks.

And here’s a variation on the black and white polka dot theme.

Tablescape Thursday ~ Royal Stafford

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Please visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to visit more tables .

This week I’m setting the table with my Royal Stafford Dishes with Country Scenes on them. I bought 8 dinner plates and 8 salad plates from Marshalls. The dinner plates were $3.95 each and the salad plates were $2.95 each.

I bought the goblets at Goodwill and they cost me $3.00 for all 4.

I layered the black and white polka dot napkins and used the pearl napkin rings I bought at Target clearance a couple years ago.

Thank you for visiting me here and taking the time to comment. I do appreciate all my visitors and new bloggy friends.

Blessings…

Thrifty Thursday

I was in Oxnard last week and stopped at two thrift stores that aren’t my usual. I thought glassware and dishes at the Super Thrift store were way over priced but their linens were priced better. I look forward to coming up with some table settings for the linens I bought especially the black and white polka dot!  The red checked napkins will probably be used for 4th of July as will the baking dish. The Johnson bros. plates and the baking dish from Portugal were purchased at my local thrift store. I stay away from buying mugs but I really liked this one from England with the Sweet Robins on it…

Tablescape Thursday ~ Aqua!

Tablescape Time Again! Visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see what people are setting this week.

I had fun putting together all things aqua and close to aqua for this weeks table.

As usual most everything on this table is from Goodwill, other Thrift stores, and garage sales. The centerpiece and stainless are Target clearance. The centerpiece was $4.24.

Time for a confession again. I only had 3 napkins in this pattern but also had a place-mat in the same pattern so I fanned it and jammed the Eiffel Tower napkin ring on it. Oh and speaking of confessions…the Eiffel Tower napkin rings are really shower curtain hooks!

We’re flying home to Los Angeles from Seattle this evening so I hope to get around tomorrow to see your tablescapes!

Tablescape Thursday ~

Welcome to my Tablescape this week. Visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to see more or to join in.

This is another setting in my living room in Washington. I started with the tablecloth and worked off it to find things around the house for the setting. The tablecloth came from Target clearance or Goodwill, can’t remember which! :0)

The Pewter tankards were purchased in England in 1973. I found the brown and white plates Royal Stafford, Fine Earthenware, est. 1845, Made in England and red napkins at Goodwill. I liked how the colors in the Russian lacquer items fit the scape. The Pewter hurricane lamp was a wedding gift. The napkin rings goblets and cocktail napkins that are in the goblets are target clearance. Red chargers from Sears. The white dinner plates are my everyday Italian Countryside. The tea light holders are Christmas exchange gifts. The red silk heart with tassel is a gift from my friend Beth. The silver is Community Plate, Sheffield England from my SIL’s Great Aunt.

Dear and I are headed up to Seattle for a longer than long Memorial Weekend. Yippee! We’ll see if I have time to check out my stash and come up with more tablescapes while I’m there. I definitely will make a trip to my favorite Goodwill Store!

Have a great Memorial Weekend to all my U.S. friends. Hope Victoria Day Weekend was great for our Canadian friends!
