Tablescape Thursday ~ Royal Stafford

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Please visit our hostess Susan at Between Naps on the Porch to visit more tables .

This week I’m setting the table with my Royal Stafford Dishes with Country Scenes on them. I bought 8 dinner plates and 8 salad plates from Marshalls. The dinner plates were $3.95 each and the salad plates were $2.95 each.

I bought the goblets at Goodwill and they cost me $3.00 for all 4.

I layered the black and white polka dot napkins and used the pearl napkin rings I bought at Target clearance a couple years ago.

Thank you for visiting me here and taking the time to comment. I do appreciate all my visitors and new bloggy friends.

Blessings…

Tablescape Thursday ~ Twofer…

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday. I’m sharing two settings today with slight variations in pink green and white. These settings are from my livingroom in Washington in early Spring. I’ve been away from the computer a couple of days and had this post ready to go. I hope to share some photos from family festivities in Laguna Beach, California and The Happiest Place on Earth soon!

Tablescape Tuesday ~ Pink & Green

It’s time for Tablescape Tuesday again hosted by Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.

I have always really enjoyed pink and green together so it was fun to set this table.

The pink dishes are some Vernon Ware I found at Goodwill. There were only 4 dinner plates, 3 cups and saucers, and a creamer and vegetable bowl. I bought them all because I enjoy this older California ware. The depression glass bowl was from a little thrift store I frequent as are the Bavarian cups and saucers I added to make 4 place settings. The square green plates are originally from target that I bought in a box of 4 from Goodwill.

The clear pink glass salad/dessert plates I bought from Fred Meyer a few years ago when they went on clearance. I have several of them so I can use them for showers. Most of them are at my home in Washington but I brought 6 to have here in California. The pink goblets that I only have 4 of were purchased at the little thrift store, too.

The striped napkins I bought at the little thrift store and the outer napkins were purchased at Sur la Table. The sliverware is 1847 Rogers with a B engraved on each piece.  Believe it or not I bought the set of 56 pieces at Goodwill for $29.00. That was a few years ago and I haven’t seen as nice a set available since.

I already made my confession about this tablescape on my Pink Saturday Post but for those of you who don’t participate in Pink Saturday here it is again… My table cloth was a shower curtain and my napkin rings were shower curtain hooks originally!

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

Trash to Treasure ~

Diane at A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words hosts a Tuesday Meme called Trash to Treasure. You can click over to her blog and see an explanation.

I was doing some thrift shopping and found these items. Someone took a great old silverplate sugar bowl and made it into a lamp. I thought it would be fun to use in the guest bathroom (our only bathroom) in our condo. It’s a nice soft light that we can keep on while company is over to help them find their way in the dark.

This silver planter/candle holder was another item someone trashed and I thought I could use. Both the lamp and the centerpiece were $4.00 each. These little tea lights that I think are so pretty were $1.00 for the box of 6. I got 2 boxes. Here’s a photo of how I ended up using the planter/candle holder at a recent Open House at the Condo.

Tablescape Tuesday ~ French Duvet & Blue

It’s time to visit Susan again at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Tuesday.

This week my inspiration came from a Goodwill purchase I made last week. The tablecloth on this table is actually a twin french ruffle duvet that I bought for $7.95. It’s from the Target Shabby Chic line and sells in the store with a pillow sham for $59 or $69 (I forget which). I came home pulled it out of the package (still pretty wrinkly) and gathered up everything I could find in blue or white in the condo.

The main patterned dishes are Johnson Bros. Indies. I purchased all the different pieces of this pattern at different times at Goodwill or other thrift stores. The Teapot is Blue Danube (Japan). The larger blue-gray plates are from a Target Holiday line a couple years ago that I bought on a really good clearance. I even bought the great silverplate with the letter B engraved on them from Goodwill. The little white jar with lid is Villeroy and Boch. Nothing on this table was purchased at full-price retail.
