Tea Things Tuesday ~ White

I found these pieces at a thrift store. They are Johnson Bros. I got several round and square dessert plates, too.

Please visit Kim at Shabby Pink & Pretty the hostess of Tea Things Tuesday to join in or see more Tea Things…

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

Blue Monday ~ Creamer

Smiling Sally is our hostess for Blue Monday. Visit her sight to see more Blue or to join in!

My brother and SIL came over on Saturday and we did a little thrift store and antique store shopping. I found this little creamer at one of the antique stores so it wasn’t one of my usual bargains but I thought it was still an O.K. price. So I put down my $8.00 and walked away with the creamer.

This is my Easter table for two. The actual Easter table I will be sitting down to at my friend Jody’s house will be set for a gazillion crowd of  28 or 36 give or take a few…

Happy Easter Everyone! My family is looking forward to celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ at church on Sunday and at brunch and dinner with loved ones! And for the record we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus everyday :0)

Tablescape Tuesday ~ French Duvet & Blue

It’s time to visit Susan again at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Tuesday.

This week my inspiration came from a Goodwill purchase I made last week. The tablecloth on this table is actually a twin french ruffle duvet that I bought for $7.95. It’s from the Target Shabby Chic line and sells in the store with a pillow sham for $59 or $69 (I forget which). I came home pulled it out of the package (still pretty wrinkly) and gathered up everything I could find in blue or white in the condo.

The main patterned dishes are Johnson Bros. Indies. I purchased all the different pieces of this pattern at different times at Goodwill or other thrift stores. The Teapot is Blue Danube (Japan). The larger blue-gray plates are from a Target Holiday line a couple years ago that I bought on a really good clearance. I even bought the great silverplate with the letter B engraved on them from Goodwill. The little white jar with lid is Villeroy and Boch. Nothing on this table was purchased at full-price retail.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage and demanding a ransom for me to access them. I’m slowly cleaning up many of my posts where PB have added ugly black and grey boxes where my photos used to be. So frustrating!

Blue Monday ~ English Chippendale

Welcome to my Blue Monday. I’ve posted these dishes that I love before but not for Blue Monday and since they are very blue I will show them again. I have 4 place settings of these dishes that I purchased in 1984 at a Model Home furniture and accessories sale in my neighborhood in Ventura, California. They are English Chippendale by Johnson Bros. England. The set cost me $25.00.

To see more Blue or to join in the fun visit Sally our hostess here.

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site. All my photos that I stored and uploaded from that site are now big ugly black and grey boxes with a message to pay big bucks to get them restored to my blog. It will take me a long time to restore thousands of posts.

Vintage Thingies Thursday

This is my first dive into Vintage Thursday.

This is one of the vintage tablecloths I have from my MIL Verna’s stash.

It’s the largest of the 5 or so that I inherited from her. I love the blues and pinks in this one.

Now I’m off to see more vintage goodies from around the blogs hosted by Confessions of an Apron Queen. Feel free to “come away with me” to those days gone by…

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site and have replaced my photos with black and grey boxes of ugliness. I’m slowly deleting those boxes from my blog and trying to update so many posts, very frustrating.
