He Pampers Me…

and puts up with my whimseys.

I told him I really needed a Hummingbird Feeder outside my computer window.

So he got out his ladder and tools and came up with a way to hang  the feeder so I could see it outside the window.

Perfect…just at the right height for me to see the Hummingbirds come and feed. Now we wait…

What’s that looking at me?

Such beautiful fast little birds.

I’m so happy for these little wonders to come and visit and have a sip before they speed off again!

I’m linking up with Mary at Work of the Poet for Ruby Tuesday since my feeder is ruby. I hope to catch a photo of a Ruby Throated Hummingbird soon.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

Evening Grosbeak ~ Finches

For Outdoor Wednesday I wanted to show some more of my photos of the Evening Grosbeak Finches that have started visiting my feeder.

Visit Susan at A Southern DayDreamer to see more of the Outdoors across the country and beyond.

There was a lot of activity at my Apple Tree yesterday. I was delighted to see these Finches come and visit. They are a bit greedy at the feeder. There was a lot of flapping of wings and pecking going on to get the good advantage on the feeder.

Some waited patiently for their turn a safe distance away.

Most of the photos were taken from my kitchen window and a few were taken from my deck trying not to scare them off.

I was happy to see the female bird have a turn.

Evening Grosbeak ~ Hesperiphona vespertina

A chunky, short-tailed finch, size of Starling: has a very large, conical whitish bill. The undulating flight indicates a finch, and its stocky shape, large white wing patches mark it as this species.

Male: Dull yellow; dark head, yellow eye stripe,  black and white wings, large pale bill.

Female: Silver-gray and yellow, large pale bill.

One of These Things Is Not Like The Others

I saw this goose in amongst the Canadian Geese at Bothell landing. I wonder what kind it is…

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn’t belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?

Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn’t belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you’re absolutely…right!

Words and Music by Joe Raposo and Jon Stone

Have a great Saturday everyone. Dear and I are helping a young couple from church get their new old house ready for them to move in. Scraping ceilings and other fun messy work this morning. This afternoon my brother Tim and our SIL Letty are coming over to hang out with us. Fun times!!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
