Joy in all that Christmas means to humanity.
It’s a joy to hear from friends and family with cards and letters at Christmas.
Joy Bells Are Ringing
Joy bells are ringing,
Christmas is bringing
Tidings of Jesus’ birth.
Candles are gleaming,
Gladness is streaming
Out over all the earth.
Light is ascending,
Nighttime is ending,
Sunshine from God appears.
Hope of the ages,
Foretold by sages,
Comes to dispel all fears.
O what a treasure
God in His pleasure
Lovingly gives today.
Grace to the lowly,
Peace, pure and holy,
Angels to men convey.
Come to the manger,
Kindred and stranger,
Hail now the newborn King!
In adoration
With jubilation
Peoples and nations sing!
Banish all sadness,
Fill me with gladness,
Jesus, whom I adore!
All else may perish,
Thee will I cherish
Now and forevermore!

So my peppermint bark was a fail. The white layer did not adhere to the chocolate layer, oops. The Peanut Butter Balls turned out like they should but I’m not sure if I’d make them again. I’ll let the kids weigh in when they arrive later this week. We are waiting to see if we get more snow overnight.
Happy Winter everyone!
Hello,
It is a joy to read all the Christmas cards! I would like to try to make the Peppermint bark. Still no snow here!
Take care, have a great day! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thank you, Eileen. If you make the peppermint bark I hope it works well for you!
…may all of your days be filled with JOY!
Thank you, Tom!
I love the way you display your Christmas cards! Cute!!
Lisa, Those little clothes pins have really become a staple around here for hanging all sorts of things. Merry Christmas to you and yours!
I look forward to walking down to the mailbox to see if Tonya delivered any cards for us that day. : )
We still don’t have snow!! Doesn’t look like a white Christmas for us this year! We’ll probably get a foot of it after!!
I am so thankful for that deep down JOY that only God can give us!!
Karen, I love that you know your mail carriers name!!
Aw Ellen – everything looks just lovely. I too have had some “fails” in the baking department again this year – oops is right! It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things right? Tidings of great JOY to you and yours…
Rosella, It really doesn’t matter. It was fun trying out the new recipes. Praying for God’s special touch on your dear family this first Christmas without your beloved.
May your celebrations and your hearts be filled with His joy! You must be getting excited about having your dear ones together!
(As a totally non-Christmas aside . . . I love all of your arched doorways!)
Cheryl, the excitement is mounting. I’ve embraced those arched doorways and love them now, too.
Joy is such a beautiful gift from God. I hope you have a most joyful and blessed Christmas with your loved ones.
Sometimes new recipes are a hit, sometimes they are not. But it’s good to try new things, I think.
It is good to try new things. Thank you for your hope and may God give you and yours a Christmas filled with joy!
Thank you for this joyful post. Thank you for your support and friendship. Merry Christmas.
