Our round of snow early in the morning of the 22nd created an interesting layering. On our Global Blue Spruce it looks like someone placed kitchen towels out to dry. Or maybe white skirts with scalloped bottoms. Or a layer of Fondant Frosting. 🙂
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…
It is very safe to say we are going to have a White Christmas. Maybe we’ll have a snow shoveling day when the kids get here on Christmas.
We will pick up our roast for our Christmas dinner today and a few other things we need for our Christmas dinner and for our daughter’s birthday dinner on the 27th. Our Colville kids are feeding all of us on Boxing Day. We haven’t all been together since the wedding in North Carolina so we are excited for Christmas Day when all the vehicles pull into our drive.
…beautiful, we received a light dusting overnight. Enjoy a Merry Christmas Ellen.
Hooray for your snow, Tom. Merriest of Christmases to you.
That was a very decorative snow…all those scalloped edges. We had a decorative ice storm yesterday…very pretty is the best that can be said. How exciting to have the whole family together again! Yes, by all means, put them to work. 😊
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours, Vee. Stay safe in the weather!
That is snow like we rarely see here, and it’s so pretty!
Barbara, Growing up in Southern California we could never expect snow. It has been fun to live in an area where we are guaranteed some these past 3 years! Merry Christmas!
So beautiful (viewed from the safe seats).
Haha Ann, Yes it’s fun to watch from our safe seats inside, too. Thankfully our drives are mostly flat so I can even be brave enough to drive in the snow!
Wonderful! Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, Maristella!
Oh the snow is just beautiful. Wonder when we are going to get some snow!!
Your tree is beautiful.
Thank you, Karen!
It all looks so beautiful – gingerbread house frosting!! And your tree and cabinet – all so beautiful with the “blue” daylight in the windows. Enjoy your family and give them all an extra tight hug this year!
Rosella, thank you for your encouragement and exhortation. I appreciate it! Hugs.
Beautiful photos, Ellen! We have had snow almost every other day – it’s getting deep out there! I love it and say bring it on! Merry Christmas to you and yours! So glad you will get to enjoy it with all of your family. We are blessed, aren’t we?
You’ve certainly had a lot of snow already this winter. So beautiful. Have a very happy Christmas. B x
The snow looks beautiful. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Your yard is so pretty! And you’re right, it looks like something was draped over your plant. Your Christmas tree is beautiful. I realized too late this year that I need a lot more white lights on mine. Next year. Our snow came on Sunday the 26h, we ended up with about 9 inches and we’re expecting more tonight. I’m loving it!
It’s always fun and treacherous when you get snow on the Western side of the Cascades. Be careful! We are going to get more snow tonight and then on Sunday to Monday.
