Tonight will be the final game for our short summer soccer season. There were fewer practices and games this season because of all the wildfires in our area which caused unhealthy air quality. Congratulations to our Grands for a well played season and to our son who coaches well.
This week the air was clear and we had games Monday through Thursday. Two games each for our ‘Grands’.

While at the game on Wednesday night,Β the water bucket helicopters were still hard at work helping with the fires that are not contained yet.
The Wednesday game was later than usual so we got the bonus of seeing the sunset on our way home.

After the game tonight, our folding chairs will be back in storage until the next season.
Dear Ellen, it looks as though the Grands have had a full and memorable soccer season despite the disruption from the wildfires and poor air quality. It must be wonderful to watch them playing and to see your son coaching them too. What a special family connection that is.
Those water bucket helicopters are a powerful reminder that, while life carries on as normally as possible, there is still such important work going on nearby. I hope the fires are soon fully contained and that everyone remains safe.
And what a lovely bonus to finish the evening with that beautiful sunset. I imagine the folding chairs will enjoy their rest too until the next season! π Congratulations to the Grands on a season well played.
Blessings to you and yours,
Steve
Great photos of your grandchildren.
The wildfires are scary but they do make lovely sky photos.
Take care, happy Thursday! Enjoy your day!
…soccer is a kick in the grass.
Fantastic photos! Well done to your grands!
My boys played soccer from the time they were very little and all through high school.lots of fun memories.
Beautiful skies.
Thank you for sharing the gorgeous sunset photos! I am so sorry y’all are battling fires again.
Such beautiful sunset photos! It is a gift that you live near enough to attend your grands’ games and be present in their lives! (They are looking so much older in these pictures!)
