This was taken on Whidbey Island in Washington State looking towards Camano Island. Washington State has several lovely islands to visit. Some you can drive to using bridges and others you can enjoy with a ride on a ferry.

I’ll try and visit as many as I can this evening as Dear and I head out early again tomorrow morning for our 6 hour trek to Northeastern Washington with another truck and trailer load. This trip I’m following behind in one of our cars and we’re leaving it in Colville just bringing home the truck and trailer to pack up the very last load!

…I’ve seen view of Whidbey Island several times before, pretty sights. Those Amish girls sure have bright green dresses, that would NEVER happen in the Amish communities that I visit. Rory’s sure has a view! And fair winds and calm seas to you, Ellen! Enjoy the weekend.
I’m guessing they might be Mennonite. This community in Indiana has a good mix of both.

Oh Ellen, I can feel for you guys. We moved here from North of Houston, Montgomery, to the West of Houston, Katy (Texas). It was a big deal and we had movers do our hauling. Just Tuesday we signed on an offer for our house, been on the market a long time, almost three years. That was 75 miles apart.
Washington is the prettiest state, I’ve been there twice. My Uncle, my age, moved to Washington from Portland. We haven’t been to see him. The first time we drove from Nebraska and back and went through Spokane on the way back, U.S. 20 II think. Before Interstates. Mostly remember all the apples.
Be sure to post plenty of snow pictures, I just watch B.C. on House Hunters tonight, they had a surprise snow storm. Your Sound and Ferry water pictures were the best.

I love dresses and hats (i’m sorry I don’t know the name of this thing ) of the Amish ladies. Good shot.
