Mosaic Blues ~ Standing in Awe…

We have been back in Southern California for a week already and we had the great privilege of enjoying the beauty of Emma Wood State Beach on Saturday morning. We are aware here in Southern California that we are one of the only parts of the U.S. not caught in the grip of Global Warming, umm the deep freeze. Today my mosaics will be linked to Mosaic Monday hosted by Mary at the Little Red House and Blue Monday hosted by Smiling Sally in Florida. Even Sally is experiencing the cold in Florida!!

Psalm 33:6-8 (English Standard Version)

By the word of the LORD the heavens were made,
and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap;
he puts the deeps in storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the LORD;
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!

Have a good week everyone and stay cozy…

Oh and lest I forget to spread the news

The lovely Laurie at Bargain Hunting & Chatting with Laurie is having a Valentine Party on February 12th!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

  1. How I’d love to be in California right now! I agree, I think the west coast is the only part of the country that is normal, temperature-wise.

    Gorgeous photos. I feel warmer already 😉

  2. Hi Ellen, aren’t we just so spoiled in SoCal? I sure would love to visit this beach someday. I love the big waves splashing and the soft colors of the skies!

    Happy New Year!

  3. Those are nice powerful waves… makes me want to go to the beach this weekend. Nice capture of the bird in flight!

  4. 🙂 ahhh sweetie– you and I are on the same topic today… weather.

    How fun!

    I laugh so hard when I hear “them” talk about global warming — ummm yah sure.

    Your shots are wonderful and remind me that I need to win the lottery so i can go to a beach very soon.

    Have the best week and stay warm!!

    TTFN~~ Claudia ♥ ♥

  5. Those are beautiful, Ellen! I just keep looking back to my summer pics to get me through…I don’t mind the cold…it is the snow and ice that annoy me!
    Sending you a little gust of cold air to make you appreciate where you are more! 🙂

  6. Oh Ellen, what a treat it is to see your beautiful photos of the ocean. I live in Tundra county – Michigan! It is bitter cold here – just about zero, with about eight inches of snow on the ground and more to come tomorrow. Spring cannot possibly come fast enough!!!
    Have a beautiful new week…Kathy

  7. Yes, Ellen, while living in Florida, I am colder than I thought possible. It went to 27º last night–a record low! Our heater is pumping away, and I am huddled in a heavy sweater. Mr. Gore should hang his global-warming head! 😉

    Meanwhile…smile…I love your warming pictures. Happy Blue Monday.

  8. Oh what beautiful photos. Almost made me feel warmer just to look at them. Your mosaics are gorgeous. Love how you captured the bird swooping down for dinner, and the Bible verse is perfect with it. How sweet of you to advertise my party! I appreciate it so much. laurie

  9. I love the waves and the pelicans, it looks a lot like Florida. It is, in fact, VERY cold here. It would be funny if it weren’t for the crop failures and the homeless. Just another intense experience for us all.

  10. I love your ocean wave mosaic Ellen, and a very beautiful verse to accompany it.

    Thankfully our winter hasn’t been unusually cold this winter as in other places. It has been just a normal winter. It makes me anticipate spring all the more!
