My parents with Miss Hope. My brother and our cousin Tanya. Tanya is my mother’s niece.
My mom is one great cook. She made us a Deviled Egg Casserole (yummy), these lovely vegetable and fruit trays and then she surprised us with Vareniki on top of everything else. We were all in culinary heaven! I’m going to get the Deviled Egg Casserole Recipe to share with y’all.
Miss Hope, My Sil Mandy, Raiya a Russian friend of ours and my cousin Tanya. Raiya flew down from Oregon to care for my cousin Tanya who is recuperating from surgery…
I left the house at 9:45 A.M. and got home at 3:30 P.M. All in all the California Freeways were kind to me today :0)
Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.
Happy times….and now I am hungry. :o)
Priceless indeed! Love all te pics!!
I’m glad things went well on the road. We don’t have traffic problems here – except maybe in the summer as we and the tourists all try to get into Tim Horton’s at the same time 🙂
Sounds like you had a lovely family time too! The lunch looks delicious. Your mom is a marvel!
Can’t wait for the recipe!! I love to see your mom’s sweet smile! There is a lot to see in a picture and her spirit comes soaring through!
The food pictures are seriously making me drool. I’m looking forward to that recipe!

Looks like such a sweet visit, worth every minute of the drive.
I’m always thankful when the freeways open up and allow me to get where I need to without traffic jams. It sounds like it was a whirl wind day.
Flower nailed it about your Mom…her love of hospitality just shines!!
And I had not idea you lived so far from them :0
I think everyone in CA spends a lot of time on the road!
