Seeing that yoke is sending me into ponder mode. It looks SO constricting….like LET ME LOOSE. But His words counter all that I would normally associate with a yoke and send my thoughts to His control and how glorious it is. hmmm
AWESOME Ellen…that YOU found a YOKE and a perfect verse for all
who are weary of carrying the load or going it alone or their own way.
YES, YESHUA will YOKE with YOU and me and together, He equally
carries, pulls and never pushes but gently prompts through His Holy Spirit…and makes it light. No burden is too great, He’s already carried
them. To submit to a YOKE does not look appealing…but very humbling.
When 2 oxen(or animals) are YOKED, they must be equal & move equally together to get the job done. It is why in marriage, it says to be spiritually equally YOKED! I was not and my life/marriage suffered because of it. I pray for all marriages that God will bless their union and
YOKE them together. But the blessed YOKE with Jesus is an easy one to
join & accept. Thank YOU for sharing this profound image & verse!
The word that leaps out at me in these verses is “REST”. Maybe it’s because I feel so weary and burdened today.
