The Desires of Our Heart ~

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage. They have blacked out all those photos on my blog posts. OH BOTHER! I’m slowly cleaning up my posts.

I decided to combine a joyful experience with Thankful Thursday.

God is so good to me. He gave me two desires of my heart today! I’ve said over and over again how sweet it would be to meet one of my bloggy friends and how I’d love to have a walking buddy in Southern California after I left my walking buddies in Seattle, Washington. Today Willow and I met and had a walk and plan to walk on a regular basis, keeping each other accountable. How sweet it is! We found each other through other blogs and realized we both live in the same city. We’re in the same stage of life and have a lot in common. Check out her blog, she has very exciting news today! She became a grandmother!

Today we met in Old Town Camarillo at a specialty coffee shop and walked around one of the older neighborhoods in Camarillo and through a couple of Antique Stores. Fun times with lots of steps to log for the Lovella’s Walking Club!

This is something I’m thankful for this week!

  1. Hi Ellen,

  2. That is so wonderful how you see God’s goodness and provisions in the simple but special treasures in life. A friend to keep you accountable in exercise. Let me be a friend to help you nourish you body back to health.

  3. (drooling over the coffee shop you’re at..that looks GOOD! lol)

I love your TT post and how wonderful via a blog you were able to meet up with a walking buddy! God is wonderful how He answers our prayers!

  4. How cool that you were able to meet up and walk together. Isn’t it wonderful that our blogging brings us to even friendships in real life?

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Blessings to you and yours 🙂

  5. How neat! It is a very good thankful Thursday for you. Thanks for sharing that with us. Great picture. Hope you have loads of fun with your new friend. God Bless!

  6. Oh what a major blessing! Isn’t it wonderful how God gives is the desires of our hearts.

I’ve made friends with some very special women online. I’m excited I’ll get to spend the weekend with one tomorrow!

Hey, you could pass for sisters!

    Blessings to you this TT!

  7. Woo hoo! That is wonderful. Wish I lived just a bit closer and I’d come join you two for your walks!

If you are ever down my way let me know; I’ll do the same if I come north. Maybe we can do some walking on the beach – or have breakfast at Chuck’s!! I’m so pleased for both of you.

When my recalcitrant avocados finally ripen (!!) I would love to bring a bagful up to your neck of the woods to share the wealth. Maybe we three can work in some coffee time or a walk….(nothing like inviting myself along)??

Sara, that would be marvelous, girl! We’ll have to put something in the books!

  8. If I were “closer” I’d come walking with you!
Thank you Ellen for taking my sister Wanda to the Lord! That means so much to me! Tonight she is trying to rest (as best you can in a hospital) but is in a great deal of pain. The fluid is causing her to have such difficulty swallowing (squeezing her esaphogus “sp”) and the latest report from the dr was not what we wanted to hear. But we remain holding tight to our faith in God and knowing that nothing will happen that He will not carry us through. Faith is hard.
I appreciate and love you! Keep praying.

  9. Camarillo is beautiful. My father use to work there. He was hoping to retire there but couldn’t find anything in his price range at the time so he went around by Joshua Tree.
We moved down to Arizona from Oregon so the PNW is special to us. Did you happen to see the weather pics from Spokane? They had tons of snow and hind. It looked like the Arctic.

    Blessings,
Debbie aka The Real World Martha(S)
