Show & Tell ~ Valentine Decor

Most of my holiday accessories are at my home in the state of Washington. I decided to scrounge around the condo today to see if I could put together some Valentine for Two decorations. I was pleased to find a few things that I brought from Washington and some Christmas clearance items that will work together to make the table look nice on Valentines Day.

Now I just need to come up with a menu.

So besides these I’ll pick up a bunch of tulips to add to the decor…

  1. That looks very nice indeed and I am sure you will be having a very romantic Valentine’s dinner! Oh, I admire your tulips, they make me dreaming of the coming spring!

Thanks for sharing and best wishes from Germany,
    Anita

  2. Looks lovely! Ahhh tulips! Still another month away at least, here in Central Washington. Some day I’ll plant some in my garden. For now I just look for the crocus and wait for the lillies.

  3. Ellen if this is the magic you do with scrounging, well,……..
you’re good! It looks charming and really sweet.
    Bless you.

  4. Very lovely. We are now living in a condo and most of my things are packed away so I have to make do with what I have for this valentines day. I will post what I come up with next week. Happy Valentines Day to you.

  5. How gorgeous is this? What a lot of work, but oh what ‘prettiness’ [is there such a word?] I love it all.

Mine is posted this week, it’s a Valentine Wreath that I made this week.

Hope you can drop by sometime.

  6. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. :o) Roses are so typically used for Valentine’s Day, so I love that you incorporated tulips! Your table looks so chic, Ellen – love the chair sashes!

  7. very nice show and tell – those chairs are equsite – beautiful decor and home too.

Today, I posted a small excerpt from my book. If you’re interested, come by and give me your thoughts — and have a fantastic Friday.

  8. Just elegant. All of it. But the mirror! Where on earth did you get the mirror. It looks as if it belongs on a dresser from a long time ago. Was it originally a repro made to go on the wall like that? I am pretty much in love with it. I love what you did with the tasseled cords for napkin rings and the scarf for a chair back.

Nancy, Good guess, the mirror is from an old dresser that belonged to my grandmother. I found the shelf that fit on the bottom of it at a decorating store and my hubby fastened it to the bottom so I’d have a little shelf to put candles on, etc.

  9. It looks like you are ready for Valentine’s Day, Ellen! The chair bows are so festive and the tulips are beautiful!
I still need to figure out my menu too.
    Hugs,
    Kelli
