“Show and Tell Friday”
This is a great old tin that is from Carrs of Carlisle LTD ~ England. I especially love the sentiments written on it. My father gave this to me just last week. He decided I should have it because it was filled with writing paper and envelopes and he knows I send letters and cards to people more regularly than some…

Go on over to There’s No Place Like Home to see more show and tell.
Photobucket blacked out all my photos and is holding all my photos hostage as of July 2017.
That is a really neat box. I haven’t seen one like that before. 🙂
What a neat gift. I have never seen a box like that before. A neat treasure.
What a sweet tin! And what a sweet father to give it to you!
I just loved all the sayings on there! My favorite:

Amen!
Too cute. Thanks for sharing.
I have that exact same tin! Except mine has a few dents from over the years. It holds my Christmas cards that get left over from year to year.
I have a tin sort of like that. You should come to my site and see it. God Bless.
Oh, i LOVE this!

Julieann:)
Oooh, I love it! It is so pretty and precious.
It’s funny too because I have read a book that is a reprint from the 18 or 1900’s called ‘Least Said, Soonest Mended’. That must have been an old saying. (o:

That is very dear. I would proudly display it and use the contents. Your dad thought of the right person to appreciate it.
Thanks for your kind birthday greetings. Oh, and your tribute to Ruth Graham is so kind. What a treasure to her family. She will be The Encourager in heaven, won’t she?
Cute box.

I have the same exact box. My grandma gave it to me. I found out that it was made in the 1800’s. The company was not even in existence in the 1900’s. So it is really old. Mine is in great condition. I was going to sell it on EBay. So if any of you would like to have it, please call or email me. I would love for it to go to someone who would really appreciate it, like us.
Have a super day,

I’m so excited to see this! I had one on my fridge when I was a kid and was telling my fiancé recently about it. It’s how I learnt to not say everything on my mind in case it hurt and I live by that still.
Wow, I have the exact same tin. My grandfather was from Carlisle England. I just looked it up on the Internet and came across this picture. I’m so excited to see this and know its from the 1800’s. It would be nice to have more history on this.
