Five Today!

Happy Birthday to our favorite 5 year old!

Warning: This post is loaded with photos and could have been even more loaded!

Great Uncle and Auntie came prepared.

Granny and Granny Great watched all the shenanigans.

Auntie Katie pulled out the overall win with the best score and enjoyed beating out her brother with the most flamboyant of shirts.

She does own her own bowling ball and shoes!

I came in with the lowest score…too bad this isn’t golf.

Some of us have really good form!

And style…

The oldest bowlers.

One of the youngest first time bowlers!

The youngest first time bowler and birthday boy!

Sometimes he used the dino helper to roll the ball.

JJ waited patiently for Cake and Gifts!

Finally…time for cake!

It was worth the wait to see his new bicycle!

He ripped through the rest of the presents with ease.

His great uncle Scott made this holster and belt for him!

What a great keepsake!

JJ jumped up from opening all his presents and gave a thank you hug to us all.

We gathered up all our belongings and headed up to JJ’s house to spend a few hours before Addy’s Irish Dance Recital!

JJ ran into the house to change clothes and get his helmet on so he could ride his new bike! When he entered the house he exclaimed, “home at last”! What a character!

Happy birthday dear grandson of ours. Baba and Gramps love you so much. You are full of life and have an adventurous spirit. You are great at building things and coming up with ideas to hold things together. You give the best hugs. We love your vocabulary. You have the best laugh! We look forward to seeing the new things you learn while you are 5! God bless you and keep you all the days of your life!

Sunday Birthday

Sunday of our ‘DisneyCaliFam’ vacation was Jamie’s birthday. Dan and she had a nice breakfast date alone where Jamie could enjoy one of her favorites without any interruptions from the kiddos.

They brought treats back for us to enjoy from the bakery.

Sunday afternoon my friend Heidi and her husband Ken picked Greg and I up for an evening together at their home. Heidi has been part of my family’s life since the 60’s and we were besties in the 70’s and beyond. I was her Matron of Honor when she and Ken were married in 1978. Our two families spent lots of time together while our children were growing up. She took the photos of our kids here.

Friends for life are the best kind of friends. We had a wonderful evening enjoying dinner and conversation in their beautiful home. While we were away our kids went bowling with a few of the cousins joining them.

The birthday girl was the champion of the night!

Back to the present…we had a dusting of snow on Saturday night that has covered some of the dirty snow. We are now in a cold trend with temps predicted to get done to single digits soon. It’s still winter after-all.

Hoping to catch up with you-all this week.

Katie Strikes Again!

The Birthday Girl is a good bowler. She even has her own ball and shoes. The Fiance beat her in one game by 3 points.

It was a fun birthday celebration and everyone improved on their scores here and there and everyone managed a strike or two. Katie had several strikes. Andrew had several, too.

The bowling alley was really hopping with almost every lane filled.

Two hours of bowling fun at Tech City Bowl.

Today I’m enjoying an off day with nothing planned. You need those every once in a while. The tree is headed outside today!

Tomorrow Katie is having her bridesmaids over to celebrate her birthday with dinner and a movie.

Thursday is another off day! Whoohoo!

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

Bowling ~ Project Black

So just when I thought I had exhausted all my creativity for Project Black my daughter asked me to go with her for her pre-bowl. She’s on a bowling team with a bunch of guys in a Tuesday night “9 Pin” league. She has other plans this Tuesday and needed to get her games in for the team.

Her best score today was 151. Her bowling ball was a gift from us for her 22nd birthday. Her brother Dan bought her the cool star bowling shoes for her birthday. The Brunswick bag was a thrift store purchase I made for her.

These next two photos are going into my Project Black File here.

Have a wonderful Sunday everyone…

Photobucket is holding all my photos from 2007-2015 hostage on their site and have replaced my photos with black and grey boxes of ugliness. I’m slowly deleting those boxes from my blog and trying to update so many posts, very frustrating.
