Genesis 2:24 ~ “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”

Proverbs 11:13 ~”A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.”
Proverbs 16:28 ~”A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.”
Proverbs 18:8 ~ “The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts.”
Proverbs 26:20~ “Without wood a fire goes out; without gossip a quarrel dies down.”

Leviticus 19:16 ~ “Do not go about spreading slander among your people.”

I try to choose a verse for Word Filled Wednesday that is from the Book of the Bible that I am currently reading. I just finished 2 Corinthians and I am now reading 1 Corinthians. A little out of order but I’m on a journey of reading each book of the Bible 20 times before moving on to the next and not in order. It’s been a good method for me because it helps me retain a lot more than just reading a passage and then moving on…

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 (NIV) ~

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliaton.”

2 Corinthians 13:11(ESV) ~ “Finally, brothers, rejoice, Aim for restoration, comfort one another, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.”
