More Yard Art from Tonasket!

This made me yell “Stop!” and my husband did so I could get a photo of this. A little nostalgia from days gone by. We really saw some of our best Yard Art in this little city east of the Cascades and just a hop skip and a jump from Canada.

Visit Mary at Work of the Poet for more Yard Art.

Have there been weeks for you when you live a day ahead of yourself anticipating events coming up soon. That has been this week for me. So here it is Wednesday and I’m posting for Thursday already. Better remind myself to live for today.

Photobucket replaced all my photos with ugly black and grey boxes and they are holding my photos hostage until I pay them lots of money. I’m slowly going through all my posts and trying to clean them up and replacing some photos. Such a bother.

Eastern Washington Yard Art!

Dear and I took an overnight trip to Eastern Washington and I enjoyed the very different terrain. Another bonus driving around little sleepy towns was the YARD ART! We found enough to last for a few weeks. To see more Yard Art please visit Mary at Work of the Poet.

For the first Best of the East I offer you the washing machine from Tonasket, Washington!

So what do you think?

Yard Art ~ Yuba City & Home

The Gnomes and Dove are from our Aunt’s house in Yuba City, California.

The butterfly and wood art are from a walk in the neighborhood here in Washington.

Yard Art ~ Lavender Hills Farm…

…so should I call it Farm Art? Visit Mary at Work of the Poet to see more yard art or to join in the fun!

My company is all gone now but the memories linger. I have lots of posts to catch up on… where we’ve been and what we’ve seen.

We traveled north to Marysville, Wa. to spend some time at Lavender Hills Farm last Friday. I’ll post the lavender shots from this farm later.

Hope all is well with all of you. I’m getting my bearings back and hope to be organized again soon.

Lavender Farms Yard Art!

I’m way behind on showing you some of God’s wonders I’ve seen around the Pacific Northwest. I’ll be catching up soon but today I’m joining Mary again at The Work of the Poet for Yard Art on Thursday. All of these were taken at the Lavender Festival in Sequim at the various lavender farms that were open to the public. I guess technically I’d have to call this “Farm Art”.

Old farm equipment was used a lot for added visual interest on the farms.

Tonight the last of our Southern California visitors fly in for an extended weekend. Tomorrow the ladies are going to a lavender farm north of us. The guys might take in some canoeing on Lake Washington. Tomorrow night we have reservations for 16 at Olive You to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The fun times just keep rolling along here. Hope all is well with all of you.

Something New…

…around every corner. Yard Art is just a walk away.

The large fountain with a couple frogs perched and ready.

The wonderful color from these flowers almost made me miss the yard art in these planters.

But this next yard was overtaken with their art. :0)

These were all from my walk on Tuesday morning. Wednesday morning I walked around some different corners and I’ll share the art I found in future weeks. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to participate the next two weeks as I’ll be getting some out of state company soon.

Yard Art ~ Random…

Have you spotted any interesting Yard Art in your neighborhood or on your drives here and there?

One walk and two very different pieces of yard art. For the second one I had to try to aim my camera over a fence so I didn’t get the best angle.

We’re having our first really hot day of the season today with tomorrow promising to be hotter still. I’m laying low enjoying World Cup soccer. I’ve been reading another great book by L.M. Montgomery called Chronicles of Avonlea. Each chapter is a stand alone story. Makes me want to visit Kathie on Prince Edward Island. I’m working on getting inspired to walk again more regularly. We will be having  family coming to Washington from Southern California starting July 19th and continuing to August 3rd. Going to have to get my pantry in order….next week.

Yard Art ~ Is that a Scarecrow?

This lady caught my attention on a back road through Lake Forest Park close to Seattle. So what do you think? Will she scare the crows away? A policeman staging a speed trap must have wondered what I was doing when I zipped off the road into a driveway to take this shot. Thankfully I was going real slow so I wouldn’t miss this art.

Yard Art ~ Bears!

Do you see interesting things in yards when you drive around in your neck of the woods? Visit Mary at Work of the Poet to see some fun and unusual examples.

It was a wet and drizzly day and I had to take some mail to the post office. On my way back I took the scenic route over Norway Hill and had to roll the window down in my car and take these shots. I think that the size of this yard and the location really does lend itself to this type of yard art.

What do you see when you take the scenic route? Hope you have your camera at the ready!

I’m sure you’ll recognize this yard Beth!!

Yard Art Inspires…

…me to walk around different streets in my Barrio…

This one looks real from so far away. I zoomed in to get this shot.

I don’t know how many more winters this will survive.
