Ruby Tuesday ~ Pimento

You will have to look closely to find the ruby in my photo this week. I have been working on a craft project that has confirmed to me that I am not a crafter. I just do not have the patience for long drawn out projects. So no, you will not find me knitting, or sewing, or cross-stitching, or being a master gardener. Sheesh, if I can’t finish it in an hour or a day forget about it! So why the martini photo today. I finally finished a project I had to do. My high school scrapbook was falling apart with tape deteriorating , etc. etc. I decided I had to re-do it and OYE what a mess crafting makes. I was so tired of the mess on my dining room table I decided that today was the day. It had to get done or I’d burn it all. Thank goodness I was able to finally finish after 3 trips to Michael’s. So I’m celebrating and our local fabulous California Grill offers 99 cent Martinis during the first quarter of televised NFL games. Monday and some Thursdays televise games while they are open. I’m buying for everyone because my project is finally done D-O-N-E done!

Photobucket is holding all my photos that I stored on their site from 2007-2015 hostage replacing them with ugly grey and black boxes and asking for a large ransom to retrieve them. It is a slow process to go through all my posts deleting the ugly boxes.

Ruby Tuesday ~ Cambria

It’s time for Ruby Tuesday and I was happy to find Ruby photos to share. Mary at Work of the Poet is our hostess for this weekly event. Click on the Ruby Slippers to see more red.

On Saturday we drove up the coast to Central California. We enjoyed strolling around Morro Bay and then a little further north to Cambria. Cambria is a charming little town that has lots of fun things to photograph. I haven’t had any red/ruby in my photos for a while but there were plenty ruby moments here. I would love to travel back to this town and spend the night in one of their bed and breakfasts and have tea at the English Tea Room, “The Tea Cozy”.

Happy Ruby Tuesday everyone!

Ruby Tuesday ~ Espresso Anyone?

Here in the Seattle area we have espresso stands on almost every corner or it seems that we do. Here is a unique stand I saw on Sunday while we were in Maltby, Washington. It has been really hot for a few days here in the Seattle area so the only Espresso I’d be getting these days is iced!

This old sign was in the same area and I thought of Ruby Tuesday…

Ruby Tuesday ~

Welcome to my Ruby Tuesday. Visit our great hostess Mary at Work of the Poet to see more Ruby.

Here’s my favorite little Valentine, my niece Hope. I was thrilled to receive this card on Valentine’s Day.

And another Valentine’s Day treat for the older Valentines…

Remember to visit Mary to see RED! :0)

Photobucket is holding all my photos I stored with them from 2007-2015 hostage unless I pay them a lot of money. I’m slowly cleaning up many posts from this time period and deleting their ugly grey and black boxes with a ransom request. Such a time consuming bother.

Ruby Tuesday ~ Los Olivos

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday where you’ll see a little or a lot of red. Make sure and visit our gracious hostess Mary at The Work of the Poet to see more Ruby or to join in the fun. My Ruby this week is from Los Olivos in the Santa Ynez Valley known for it’s ranches and wineries.

I took these photos in a sculpture garden in the middle of town. (I think eclectic is a good description)

Los Olivos is noted for its eclectic art galleries, wine tasting, unique shopping, epicurean restaurant opportunities, antiques and generally friendly populace.

Many of the downtown and residential buildings date back one-hundred years when Los Olivos was served by a stage line and the Pacific Coast Railway. Our historical ambiance is preserved by a Victorian architectural overlay.
This cafe was closed the day we were there. I love how the sign says “Shut” instead of closed.

Ruby Tuesday ~ Farmer’s Market

On Saturday morning Dear and I got out bright and early and walked to our local Farmer’s Market to buy flowers for a dinner party we were hosting on Saturday night. My table was going to be Red, White and Black so I was looking for red and white flowers. There were some great bunches of radishes in reds and whites besides the flowers we found so I decided to add them to the bouquet! I love Farmer’s Market flower prices. The bunch of white and bunch of red flowers were $3 each and the radishes were 60 cents, so for $6.60 I had fresh flowers for the table.

Ruby Tuesday

Welcome to Ruby Tuesday hosted by Mary at Work of the Poet.

This week I’m still in sign mode. My sign today is taken in the evening at one of the Mexican Restaurants we frequent in town. We are part of their Jalapeno Club so we get a 10% discount.

Ruby Tuesday ~ The Sign Edition!

Mary at Work of the Poet challenged us to come up with a Ruby post using signs this week. Here is what I came up with.

There’s a little ruby mixed with the Orange in this fun sign I saw outside an Irish Pub in the North Beach Area of San Francisco in early December.

We spotted this sign in downtown Seattle on New Year’s Day. What you have to realize about Seattle and Snow is that there are many, many very steep hills/roads in the Seattle area. These become quite treacherous with snow and ice on them. Snow is not fun to drive around in here.

Visit Mary at Work of the Poet to see more Ruby Signs.
