Joining in on Kym’s Everyday Images on this last Thursday in January.
You will see her photo prompt and underneath will be the photo I selected for the prompt. I’ll add the link once it goes live this morning.

Out for a walk (quarterly)

I walked out to take a panorama photo of our property. It was too cold to stay out for long. No snow anywhere to be seen which is a bit unusual.

At home (monthly)

Another panorama shot on my phone camera inside our home. I’m practicing.

Inside and/or Outside

The road we live on going north beyond our driveway at the orange triangle.

Good food

A cottage cheese, egg and spinach bake for our January month of eating intentionally.

Curlicues

There are many elegant curlicues on this amazing church building in Edinburgh.

Texture

This church door and arch has lots of texture.
Texture refers to the way an object feels to the touch or looks as it may feel if it were touched. Texture is one of the seven elements of art.

I’ve been a fan of photo taking since my junior high days. It was always a shot in the dark as to whether your photos would turn out. Once done with a roll of film we had to turn it in to a photo processing venue and then wait for a while to pick them up and see how they turned out. What a difference the whole digital camera option is! Instant viewing and in an instant you know if you have to re-do the shot!

Hope all is well in your corner of the world.
…well done!
Great photos for the prompts, Ellen!
I always love your posts… so full of pictures and detail!
Great photos for the prompts. Take care, enjoy your day!
Love all the photos. So true about taking photos in the past. Always the moment of truth when you collected them from the processor. B x
This post of January photo prompts is fun! I remember so well how we got our snapshots developed back in the day. Wow. I’m glad that has improved S.I.G.N.I.F.I.C.A.N.T.L.Y!!!
Interesting post. You are excellent on taking photos.
You did well with the prompt pictures!!
Those photos are wonderful! I have been a hobbyist photographer since I was 10 years old when I was given my first brownie camera for my birthday. It has been a hobby that has carried me through my whole life. You have a beautiful home and the scenery is wonderful. This church reminds me of the Washington National Cathedral with all its stunning carvings. Have a great evening, Friday and weekend!
That church with all the curlicues!!!! Fantastic! I would love to have a view like that driving down one of my roads. Great photos!
Beautiful photos and well done on all the prompts! What a gorgeous setting for your home – that first photo does not look like it was terribly cold, but I guess that’s because no snow was visible. Loved the use of the church door photos for curlicues and texture. Also, that egg and spinach bake looks yummy. Thanks for joining in with my photo challenge!
I so agree with you, “What a difference the whole digital camera option is”
Oh, yes. The bane of taking those rolls of film in and waiting to see if anything turned out well! I suppose it is amazing that we were able to get as many successful photos as we did!
I enjoyed seeing your January photos. I am especially taken with the egg/spinach bake right now. (I need to go to be before I am tempted to eat something.)
