The last week of October was a very busy one for us. Soon the golden beauty of October will fade.

While JJ was here in the afternoon, last Monday the 27th of October, he was able to make friends with this neighborhood cat that we are calling Stubs. Gramps actually named him because of his lack of tail. He’s friendly but we found out that he also likes to nip.

Stubs came for another visit during the week to say hello. Then another neighborhood cat came on the scene.

Friday we had the well drilling company in town come and replace a brass fitting. We noticed water on the ground in the well pump house and they determined that the fitting was cracked and needed to be replaced. It’s all fixed and we are happy to have that taken care of before winter.
Friday night was Halloween and time for our Colville family to come and Trick or Treat. They are our only trick or treaters. They came after their stop at our church Trunk or Treat Harvest Festival.

The hunting family with all their gear. Addy and JJ are enjoying one of the treats that Gramps and Baba found for them, creepy gummy eyes!
I trust your last week of October was a good one. Onward we go into November and adjusting to the time change, again!
Love the look of your family of trick or treaters. Nice to have cats visiting. B x
Cute photos of the kiddies and the cat!
Have a great day and a happy week ahead.
…the camo gang!
Like Tom said, the camo gang.
Glad you got your well leak fixed.
Hello, November!
Our color is just now hitting peak. The first week of November is usually the best for that here. Your trick or treaters look so cute. Glad you had the well repair handled before winter comes your way. Have a nice week!
The golden trees are beautiful. It has been so dry in Alabama, that most of our leaves turned brown and fell off. I can’t believe it is November. HOW????
That’s interesting about the cats. Those trees are so pretty. Love their Halloween costumes and those creepy gummy balls are something else!!!
What a lovely end of October you have had Ellen. I’m sorry to have missed so much of the fun happenings by being away from blogging again so soon. But I am back in the loop again, so I am looking forward to what November holds for you. That black and white cat is beautiful. I’m amazed at how evenly the black fur travels the entire length of its body. Loved the family picture of the Colville family.
Those gummy eye balls!!! What a treat!
Yes, to chasing fall and making memories!
