There were several displays inside the Ark that were so meaningful to me and one in particular that was a wake up call to me. I’ll be sharing more in the days to come as I’m able to upload the photos.
Back at our country internet I’m having challenges in uploading some of the photos in the order that we saw them but this display about the door was so meaningful to us that I uploaded the photos at our hotel in Kentucky with decent internet service.
There was only one door in the Ark. Noah’s family and the animals entered the Ark that would save them from the destruction of the world through that one door. We also enter the door provided for us for our salvation and that one door is Jesus Christ.
John 10:9 ~ I am the door. Whoever enters through me will be saved.
We were at the Ark Encounter on Monday September 27th as part of our Land That We Love Tour.
Wow, the size of the doors are amazing. Great photos of you and your hubby! Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend!
…massive!
That is an impressive visual.
Wonderful! So glad you both posed in front of it. I didn’t realize it was as big as that. Very impressive!
Thanks for your comments. That door needed to be big enough for giraffes and elephants! 🙂
Wow that is one huge door. I upload pictures one at a time and don’t have any trouble.
Impressive indeed! That is one big door! And such a good reminder that there is only one door.
Oh my goodness…the door was my favorite or should I say my most thought provoking part of the Ark…having taught Sunday School for years and having started churches, I often wondered how people felt who did not get into the Ark…seeing those doors made it real…could you imagine???? When I read blogs, and I read whining comments, I think of my friends and I who have such debilitating diseases…and we keep going…it is a generation thing…I can visualize those same whiners complaining when the door on the Ark shut…it is well worth a visit…that and the Christian Museum close by.
Hi Brenda, we didn’t get a chance to go to the museum this time around. It would be interesting to attend one of the conferences offered at the Ark sometime. It’s a little far for us to travel, though. We are glad that we put this stop on our trip route. Sorry about your debilitating disease and it’s good that God will carry you through. Blessings.
I haven’t been yet, but everyone I know who has gone raves about it. I hope to go one day.
My your pictures are really putting into perspective what a feat of building this was and how big everything is. Love the significance of the one door to the ark. I never realized that.
I can understand that this tour would be a spiritual experience – a thought provoking one for sure! God’s patience with human kind, salvation through one door and it’s relevance to our faith speak of how scriptures tie together from beginning to end.
