Every year, on 11 November at 11 am – the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month – we pause to remember those men and women who have died or suffered in all wars, conflicts and peace operations.
Thankful for all our Veterans.
My new pin to wear on Veteran’s Day from our Laura, also known as Auntie Lolo.
Here I am in 2014 with the Marine Corps Band at a Seattle Sounders Game. Wonder where all these young Marines are now and how many are Veterans already.
Hope we all get a chance to thank a Veteran today! The closest Veteran to us is our Son-in-law Andrew. Thank you Andrew for your years of service. We appreciate your sacrifice and are aware of the toll it took on your body. You are loved and appreciated.
Here on Dataw veterans are celebrated for an entire week with a special event/celebration every day.
…personal.
Thank you.
Veteran’s Day has taken such a special meaning since Nick’s death. It. will never be just another day. I wish that we as a nation would stop and pray on the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. That would be amazing
A very special tribute. God Bless all our Veterans and my never ending thanks to all. Please thank your Son-in-law Andrew from me too, for his years of service. There really are not enough words to show the gratitude I feel towards him and to all.
That 2nd photo just takes me to another place with a mix of gratitude, sorrow, and wonder.
