Huntington Beach

Walking on the pier and looking South.

Looking North on the pier to Long Beach and Rancho Palos Verdes and beyond.

Another great view of Catalina Island to the West.

The last couple of days have been clean up days outside here at our country bungalow. I’ll share some photos of the work we’ve accomplished once I upload the photos. I went to Wal-Mart today and happened down the toilet paper aisle and saw that the TP buying frenzy is alive and well here in Colville. Empty shelves everywhere. Seems there was a run on dried beans, too. I got the last bag of pinto beans for the crock pot recipe I’m making tomorrow.

Hope you didn’t let your TP totally run out before this mass hysteria set in.

Be Anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. and the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

  1. Thanks for those calming pictures of the beach and the reassuring verse! I can’t believe all the hysteria. Another example of how the news and social media can influence us.

  2. Thank you, Ellen, for sharing about the mass frenzy. It is the same here in our state. My husband went into the Aldi store yesterday and the cashiers were talking about a man that came in the day before and bought over $300 worth of hand santizer and wipes…totally cleaned them out by ONE man. The scripture you shared is perfect! I know we need to be cautious, but the fear that is beginning to sweep our country is so sad.

  3. Beautiful pictures of the beach.

Looking forward to getting outside around here to pick up all the deadfall from winter. I’ll have lots to add to my natural fence.

I haven’t noticed the stockpile going on around here.

Those are great verses and some of my favorites. It seems I have so many favorite verses!!!

  4. Beautiful pictures! Today I changed the background photo on my laptop to a picture of my girls at the ocean in San Diego. There’s just something about the ocean!

  5. You’re right at Ground Zero there in Washington State. Believe it or not, lots of empty shelves here in Maine as well where we do not yet have a case of this flu. It was rather surprising. I don’t get out much as it is, but I will not be a prisoner in my own home, if I can help it. Still, my cleaning includes wiping door knobs regularly and I take other precautions.
