Friday’s Fave Five

On Monday we enjoyed a full day watching over little Miss Addy who is now 23 months old!

She is looking less and less like a baby and more and more like a little girl.

Being with Addy was my first favorite of the week. So grateful that we are close enough to grandsit and help out her mommy and daddy.

On Tuesday we met with the Pastors and Deacons of First Baptist Colville to share our testimonies and to pursue membership in the church. It was a rich time.

On Wednesday we decided to drive south to Spokane to do some shopping at Costco, T.J.Maxx, Home Depot, Goodwill, Fred Meyer, Bi-Mart with a stop on the way home at our favorite Mexican restaurant this side of the Cascades for dinner. Besides enjoying a variety of shopping which we do not have in Colville we had some amazing encounters with people we know. Small world encounters that had us smiling and thanking God.

On Thursday Dear helped me put on my new snowshoes that we bought at Costco on Wednesday and I walked the perimeter of our back yard for some much needed Winter exercise. Looking forward to more snow walking with Dear next time.

All week long we’ve enjoyed the birds in the backyard who like one particular bush. We have some plans to weed out some bushes in the back acres but for sure we’ll keep this one since it’s a good source of food for the birds in the winter.

Can you see all the birds above? How many do you see?

We’ve had a couple sunny days and snow has been melting but we have more snow forecasted for Friday into Saturday. Time will tell if it’s an inch or more.

We’re looking to buy a humidifier for our dry winter sleep nights. Any recommendations out there?

What were your favorites this week?

I’m linking up to Susanne’s Friday’s Fave Five at Living to Tell the Story.

  1. Oh yes Miss Addy is really growing up. She is SO cute! I love your snowshoes and must check at our Costco to see if they have them here. We’ve been talking about getting some – “for much needed Winter exercise” too!

  2. Oh how cute, your granddaughter is. I love the toddler stage!

We have one bush in the far back that the birds seem to love all winter so we kept it. I also have a bird feeder near it. I love watching the birds! Especially against the backdrop of snow.

I’ve always wanted to try snowshoes. Haven’t had them since i was a kid. Yours are very pretty!!

It sounds like you had a lovely day of shopping and dinner out. And how nice to run into friends!

    Happy weekend!

  3. oh your granddaughter is so cute. I know what you mean about becoming more like a little girl. Our eldest grandson is the same age and he is definitely looking more like a little boy. Your snow looks very pretty – especially the shots with the birds but I’m so glad I don’t have to cope with that sort of weather. Enjoy your weekend.

  4. What a good week of favorites! Funny how I pictured snow shoes to look different. I guess I had not seen this udpated style. =)

  5. I’ve enjoyed reading about your week of wonderful moments. It sounds as if you are settling well into your new home where you’re near enough to spend more time with your granddaughter and enjoy her company. It’s interesting to see the amount of snow you’re experiencing and learn about how you get around in it. Meeting folk that you know when out-and-about is a blessing as is church fellowship. Have a lovely weekend.

  6. Addy is so cute! You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen snowshoes for sale at Costco here on this side of the Cascades! Did it surprise you as you’re walking up and down the aisles and see snow shoes? 🙂

  7. Your granddaughter is at such a fun age. So glad you’ve found a church home. I love hearing people’s testimonies. How neat to run into people you know unexpectedly. Snowshoes are a marvelous invention.

  8. What a cutie your granddaughter is! I LOVE the toddler-preschool ages and KNOW you are in for a lot of fun adventures in the snow and in the sun:)
    Blessings, Aimee

  9. Oh my goodness, Miss Addy really is growing fast. So sweet that you live close enough to have her over. I saw those snowshoes at Costco earlier in the season and thought they would be fun. Nice that you can use the right in your backyard. Love your bird bush!

  10. Can Miss Addy really be that big already? She’s adorable!
I’m impressed with your snowshoes! Did you ever think that you would be wearing those?
What kind of bush is that one attracting all the birds? Very interesting!
